Summary: New Years Eve party at the Inn / Onsen

Just as Subaru had announced, the Inn was laid out for a grand old party and everyone was invited! The first floor had wall panels opened for two large rooms for mingling; one with food and music, the other with a few different games (and space for anything people might bring in)!

The hot springs are also ready as always, with towels and buckets and such all set out, in case someone wanted a nice relaxing soak in the otherwise chill night air.

For those staying the night, the second floor has been closed off to offer as much privacy as possible, with futons laid out as they were intended, four to a room. It might be too cold and dark to go home after midnight, after all, and Subaru will not kick anyone out.

The only thing she seems to have forgotten is fireworks... but that doesn't mean sparks can't fly at midnight.

Hot Springs

[It was cold outside. That meant Akiha was really cold, so the best place to be was the hot springs. Relaxing in the water, she closed her eyes and soaked in the heat.]

[Well, you know who is always stuck by Akiha's side. Though Kris currently has her face half submerged and is blowing bubbles in the hot water.

Yeah, she might actually start feeling bad far too soon like this.]

[Fionna, who was always full of energy, could use a pick me up when it came to the cold outside too. So she had quickly went through the dressing rooms, let her hair loose and was already in when she noticed someone was here too].

[Despite knowing full well she was coming to a party, she wasn't exactly sure how to handle things well. Especially last time she really went to one, things ended up... complicated.

So for right now, she's just sitting by herself.]

[Akiha was passing by, her skin a bit pink from her time in the hot springs, when she caught sight of Sayaka.]

Playing wallflower gets you nowhere.

[She had only gotten to talk to hr on the vine thing before, so now she was happy to see her, in the flesh, coming here and trying to be social! Even if she seemed to be sucking at it.]

So you came! Awesome! It's the perfect time to hang, don't you think?

[ Akiha doesn't know what she's talking about. Subaru made it a point to ask Sayaka directly to come! Which is why she's making her way over with two cups of punch after that other exchange happened. ] Thirsty?

[ Naturally, the hostess of this little affair is quite busy, but part of that is getting in everyone's business. Is everyone happy? Is there enough to eat and drink? What about games? Music is being taken care of, at least, so that's one load off of her mind, but everything else keeps her bouncing around the entire inn making sure things are in order.

Perhaps she's a little too excited about this, and more than a little anxious that things go smoothly, so someone should really tell her to slow down. Especially before midnight strikes and she seeks out a certain blonde pilot to ring in the new year with. ]

[Akiha crossed her arms and leaned against a wall.] If you keep this up you're going to burn out or do something stupid.

[Fionna catches the eye of the host and waves, grinning. She has a small present in her hand, with a bow and everything, and she gives it to Subaru now].

Hey Subaru! Everything going ok?

[This is not the blonde pilot you're looking for.]

You're as active as ever.

[Samus comments, having watched her running around all over the place.]

[ Mugi would be the one who set up the stereo and the small collection of CDs available, from any donors that had something to play back, as well as what she replicated from home. She's wearing a pink and white striped sweater with a dark skirt and her hair tied up in a side ponytail.

The rest of her time is spent mingling and playing games, quite eager to enjoy herself and full of energy!

There is one quick break after midnight for the first onsen trip of the new year and then, upstairs in her pajamas, she is observing the pile of pillows against one wall with starry eyes.

Pillow fight? Pillow fight. ]

[Someone's eyes are shining quite a bit at the prospect of this game. She's even in those Pj's that were suggested to her, in short shorts and a long shirt and everything].

I am SO ready for this!

[Sayaka is here just kind of... eyeing the stereo and CD sets. There are different ways she could handle this. Was she thinking about all of her music shopping before things went bad? Was she thinking where the stereo even came from?

Or does she wonder if someone is going to set up a movie theater next?]

[Samus wasn't really planning on staying too long, much less all night. A quick stop, some brief conversation, and she'd be on her way. There might not be any space pirates or much in the way of hostile lifeforms, but that's no reason to let down her guard.

For now, she's all alone, helping herself to a beverage.]

[Wow, she really hadn't seen Samus in awhile, not since that fight with those pirates. It had made Fionna a little sad actually-they had started to at least become friendly since the egg thing, and then they were somehow estranged].

[Of course she accepted Subaru's invitation. How could she not? Celebrating the new year was one of her favorite things to do, and she was really looking forward to this one! She walked around, greeting anybody that she saw.]

[ ...Katina couldn't turn down the invitation. She could show up late, skulk around the first floor, and see who all was there, but it was Subaru and she promised to be open and not a total idiot.

Of course Akiha has to show up as well. She'll just slip around to the hot springs and pretend she missed them. She's been a little sore from distracting herself with workouts anyways. ]

[Sette had, initially, long ago, been resistant to the idea of a hot spring. She had hardly ever bathed in her life, and she wasn't about to start now! But the onsen had been sold to her as a luxury, not a cleaning activity, and she had to admit, it was pretty good at that. Having to clean herself off first was just the price to pay.]

[When Katina entered, she was already in the water, sitting against the side with her eyes closed.]

[Meiling may or may not have (slightly) dozed off while in the hot springs. It was just so relaxing, she couldn't help it! Thankfully, she manages to wake up before long.

[Hiiragi doesn't use the vines for communication, so she hadn't heard about the party. but it wasn't terribly difficult to notice a party like this and so she decided to check it out.

but she's not a youkai of social tendencies. all the gatherings she'd attended before were attended only because her master went, and without Natori she's still at a bit of a loss.

so the masked woman stands before the inn, not too close, not too far away. she'll most likely leave in a few minutes.]

[Fionna came outside after the hot springs. They were nice and all, but she liked fresh air after awhilw. All that heat tended to make her feel a little light headed.
