Summary: New Years Eve party at the Inn / Onsen

Just as Subaru had announced, the Inn was laid out for a grand old party and everyone was invited! The first floor had wall panels opened for two large rooms for mingling; one with food and music, the other with a few different games (and space for anything people might bring in)!

The hot springs are also ready as always, with towels and buckets and such all set out, in case someone wanted a nice relaxing soak in the otherwise chill night air.

For those staying the night, the second floor has been closed off to offer as much privacy as possible, with futons laid out as they were intended, four to a room. It might be too cold and dark to go home after midnight, after all, and Subaru will not kick anyone out.

The only thing she seems to have forgotten is fireworks... but that doesn't mean sparks can't fly at midnight.

No. There is absolutely no need to splash. This is a hot springs, not a pool.

[Going back to floating on her back, hair going all over.]

[After a few minutes of this, Akiha finds herself slowly running her fingers in the section of blonde hair closest to her. She doesn't even seem to notice she's doing it, her thoughts elsewhere.]

[There's a few more minutes of that, Kris silently enjoying it...until she groans.]

I think I should get out.

I told you that you needed to settle down. You should've done it sooner.

...get out and sit on the edge here by me. I don't want you to go. There's something I should tell you about.

[She slogs her way over, re-energized by the idea of a story. Grabbing a seat on the edge was easy.]

[Akiha shifted so she was leaning back against Kris' legs, tilting her head back to look up at the woman.]

...the mistletoe. It caught Katina and I. Once.

That...probably couldn't be helped.

[She knew what Akiha was saying here.]

If I had seen it, I would've avoided it.

I wasn't letting her, you know. And if I'd had a choice, I still wouldn't have. But I didn't have a choice, but it was brief and shallow. Not like with you...

[But she'd wanted to. Oh, she'd wanted to kiss Katina like she'd never ever get the chance again. But Katina hadn't earned the right back, so she hadn't. And it was hard.

Akiha took a handful of Kris' hair and rubbed her cheek against it.]

I thought I should let you know, since I had kisses on my mind. It is New Year's...
