Summary: New Years Eve party at the Inn / Onsen

Just as Subaru had announced, the Inn was laid out for a grand old party and everyone was invited! The first floor had wall panels opened for two large rooms for mingling; one with food and music, the other with a few different games (and space for anything people might bring in)!

The hot springs are also ready as always, with towels and buckets and such all set out, in case someone wanted a nice relaxing soak in the otherwise chill night air.

For those staying the night, the second floor has been closed off to offer as much privacy as possible, with futons laid out as they were intended, four to a room. It might be too cold and dark to go home after midnight, after all, and Subaru will not kick anyone out.

The only thing she seems to have forgotten is fireworks... but that doesn't mean sparks can't fly at midnight.

She mutters it but still audibly. She'd really hoped this might have been something else.

She doesn't need a kid staring at her tits the whole time they're in here. "Eh, everyone gets confused or needs help sometimes. Even your dad can't be everywhere at once, doing everything at once, right?"

No, just a barely-pubescent girl who thinks she's much tougher shit than she really is, that's all.

"But you aren't as big and tough as you probably will be someday, so don't get in over your head." It's hard to get through to her without her getting all offended.

"Oh yeah, I got so much t'worry about here!" Sette shot back sarcastically. "The peril o' the slight inconvenience! Apparently even death can't take no hold here, though I ain't about to test that."

"Alright smartass, watch yourself when you finally get outta here then."

"Don't think that's likely to happen," Sette remarked glumly. "I ain't likely t'ever see money again."

"Hey, don't talk like that. You know other people have gone home, you just have to wait your turn."

"Well it's sure taking its time!" Sette griped. "I been here for what, year and a half? I'll be marryin' age 'fore long!"

"There are plenty of eligible women!" She chuckled. "But it'll happen, I'm sure of it."

"Y'can't marry another lady, stupid. Dally with, sure, but marryin's for poppin' out mini yous. That don't work twixt two girls."

"That's what it was for back in the old days, but people are all about making it into more of a romantic thing you do with someone you love." At least she remembers enough history to know that it used to just be practicality.

"Love's for losers," Sette said, wrinkling her nose. "Me Da says it never did any soul a sem's worth of good, and he should know."
