Summary: New Years Eve party at the Inn / Onsen

Just as Subaru had announced, the Inn was laid out for a grand old party and everyone was invited! The first floor had wall panels opened for two large rooms for mingling; one with food and music, the other with a few different games (and space for anything people might bring in)!

The hot springs are also ready as always, with towels and buckets and such all set out, in case someone wanted a nice relaxing soak in the otherwise chill night air.

For those staying the night, the second floor has been closed off to offer as much privacy as possible, with futons laid out as they were intended, four to a room. It might be too cold and dark to go home after midnight, after all, and Subaru will not kick anyone out.

The only thing she seems to have forgotten is fireworks... but that doesn't mean sparks can't fly at midnight.

[Someone's eyes are shining quite a bit at the prospect of this game. She's even in those Pj's that were suggested to her, in short shorts and a long shirt and everything].

[ Mugi has picked up a pillow and started to fluff and examine it, like a pro sportsman checking if the ball is "worn in" enough. ]

[Fionna chuckled] Dude, what are you doing, checkin' it for bricks?

[Now SHE'S doing it, despite what she just said].

[ A gasp. ] Would someone do that?

[ She wasn't checking it that thoroughly before, but now she is! ] I was just seeing what type of pillow it was.

[fionna_time]

I hope not!

[She brought up an eyebrow] What do you mean, type of pillow?

[golden_gaytime]

For example, you want something that's not too fluffy, but also not too heavy. You don't want to hurt anyone, but it really needs that certain... "oomph".

[ Mugi picks out an unsuspecting target across the open room and, after a little wind-up, pelts them square in the back with the pillow. It's enough force to bump them, but not bowl them over, and certainly not hurt.

She points. ] See what I mean?

[Fionna screwed up her face, looking at the pillow in her hand. She fidgeted with it a bit, then whapped Mugi lightly in the face].

How's this one?

[ She is surprised by that, but just laughs it off after a moment rather than looking offended. ] I think it will work!

[fionna_time]

[Fionna smiles, holding up a pillow] Awesome! I am great at this! Should it just be us, or do we get more people?

[golden_gaytime]

Oh, I think more will join in one way or another. [ That is an awfully innocent smile for someone who might as well be thinking "there will be no escape". ]

[Fionna gave the girl her patented toothy smile]

Awesome! If no one else joins, we will totes be enemies!

Oh, I wouldn't think so. It's just some friendly fun! [ Mugi isn't as competitive about this as it seems... at least, not until she gets into it. ]

Well you know, pillow enemies anyway. [Fionna liked fun, but competition added some extra fuel for her to get involved.] We could make forts and everything!

Oh, I never even considered that before. [ She looks around. ] I wonder what we could use... [ That might be difficult unless they stack rolled futons around themselves, or pillows. There aren't going to be too many people sleeping over from the look of things, so they won't inconvenience anyone. ]

Just about anything!

[See Fionna already started to gather bedding, making sure everything is fortified enough for a makeshift tent/barrier of softness] See?

How nice! [ Mugi walks around it and crawls inside, looking around like she'd never seen such a thing in her life. ]

I'm kinda an expert and making this stuff! So this can totally be epic, or we could just jump each other later!

[ She emerges from the fort, a pillow clutched between her hands. ] I say we team up, now that we have defenses of our own! [ Strategy? For pillow fights? It's more likely than you think. ]

Ok dude! Let's go and take these dudes down!

{Brings the pillow up against her face]. Is this usual to you?

No, this is only the second time.

Ohh.

So what happened the first time?

It was during a school trip, in a much smaller room of a larger hotel. Though that part isn't so different right now...
