Summary: New Years Eve party at the Inn / Onsen

Just as Subaru had announced, the Inn was laid out for a grand old party and everyone was invited! The first floor had wall panels opened for two large rooms for mingling; one with food and music, the other with a few different games (and space for anything people might bring in)!

The hot springs are also ready as always, with towels and buckets and such all set out, in case someone wanted a nice relaxing soak in the otherwise chill night air.

For those staying the night, the second floor has been closed off to offer as much privacy as possible, with futons laid out as they were intended, four to a room. It might be too cold and dark to go home after midnight, after all, and Subaru will not kick anyone out.

The only thing she seems to have forgotten is fireworks... but that doesn't mean sparks can't fly at midnight.

I can kinda guess. One of my friends got kidnapped the same time.

Gotta keep an eye on her too...she dies too much man.

I wouldn't bring that up anyway. No one would wanna remember that. One of my friends were trying to kill me around that time, so I don't wanna remember that either.

[Fionna sunk into the water herself, sighing].

Why would anyone that's not me ever want to kill you?

[Akiha waved her hand dismissively.] Not now.

[Someone wanting to kill her recently would be serious business]!

Yeah, Kanako is kinda pervy about girls anyway, and she's my friend, but the queen did some weird thing where it made her super obsessed. She was going to kill me so no one would have me or something weird like that.

[Akiha's head raised up sharply, her eyes wide, for a moment before her expression darkened. And not because of what happened to Fionna. That was just too much like...

She snorted and closed her eyes.]

Only monsters do things like that.

Yeah, well, it wasn't funny at the time. I don't wanna fight my friends, even though Kanako has no hero training and I could kick her butt even if she's taller than me.

[She sunk in the water]. It sucked though. I was so mad at the queen, but its not like I can even fight her because of it.

It's not funny now. [Yeah, she can't help but correct Fionna.]

Nah, not funny, but at the time, I was scared. I've fought demons and monsters and giants and stuff, but no one ever tells you about how to fight someone that's a friend.

[ritsu_kouyou]

The same way you fight anyone trying to kill you. It's not hard to figure out. And if you have no wish to kill that person, you incapacitate them.

That was what we did, so we wouldn't have to fight her or anything.

I knew I might have to eventually, I just didn't wanna.
