Summary: A slumber party, but it seems the faerie that Nue and Sanae raised is gonna be causing some trouble

"You've got termites in yer tree trunk, it's hot as balls tonight. An' this is what I wear to bed."

'Hot as balls' was a bit of an overstatement, but it did seem a bit warm for Fionna's outfit.

"No I don't! I checked, there aren't any termites in the tree fort!" Fionna insisted, totally missing the point.

"Anyway, who's hot? I feel totes fine!"

Ok, she was sweating a little.

Sette decided, for once, to let Fionna's inability to understand a simple figure of speech slide. She rolled her eyes instead at Fionna's stubborn denial.

"Whatever. Just open that thing up an' let yer udders breathe a bit. You'll feel better."

[fionna_time]

Fionna opened her mouth to protest, than closed it again. This was reminding her of the whole washing up Sette debacle, with how annoying Sette was for not wanting a simple bath. She'd be a bit of a hypocrite not abide by this part now.

"I can't," she muttered. "I don't HAVE any other pjs, dude."

Sette shrugged uncaringly. "Go in yer skivvies, then. 's what I when it's too hot for me outfit."

[fionna_time]

"I CAN'T," Fionna said, turning red. "I'm all...out there, ok? I'm not all skinny and junk like the other girls."

Sette rolled her eyes. "Yeah, yeah, yer a big fatty, we all know that. So's Yerta, and that don't stop her from lettin' her tits hang free. Quit bein' such an infant about it."

[fionna_time]

Fionna turned red. It was hard to tell whether was embarrassed or really angry at being called a fatty. She WAS trying to take the high road, but now she just felt sullen and irritated.

"You're the LAST person I wanna hear from about actin' like an infant."

The funny thing is, where Sette's from, having some bulk to you is actually considered attractive in a woman. It's a sign of good health. She was just calling Fionna fat because it clearly got a rise out of her.

She stuck her tongue out at Fionna. "Deal with it, baby!"

"Ah, shut it," Fionna muttered, but figured that Sette probably had a point. Was she the type of girl who would bring the party to awkward because she was roasting in her pjs.

She sighed and took off her pjs, now clad only in a plain white version of these.

"There, happy?"

"I'm always happy," she said chipperly before grabbing the discarded PJs and feeling the cloth. "Cripes, this's thick! You musta been boilin'. Ain't I a good friend for talkin' you out of it?"

"I have you to thank for bein' practically naked? That'd be some pretty messed up thanking there."

Granted, Kanako would make the same suggestion for more sinister reasons.

"But thanks, yeah, it was pretty hot in that thing."

"Hey, if you wore bloomers like a sane person 'stead of those girlie unders, you'd be less nude. Yer own fault."

[fionna_time]

"What the heck are bloomers? And how would they help, anyway? If I'm wearing my regular PJs, I'd die in boomers!"

She hardly saw how she was to blame for this!

"Bloomers, ya know, unders what I wear? Hold on..."

She undoes her trousers and pulls them down quickly to demonstrate.

"See, they've got a bit o' leg to 'em."

Fionna had forgotten she had seen Sette in these before, and got a better look at them.

"You know, those actually looks pretty comfortable. Maybe I should just wear those instead of my regular PJs!"

Sette pulled her pants back up and redid the drawstring.

"Not my pair, you ain't! I need'em, and they wouldn't fit your flabby butt nohow."

[fionna_time]

"I don't want yours, it'd have lice in 'em!" Fionna shot back, glaring. "I'll make my own! And anyway, my butt ain't flabby, its just round ok?!"

"There's a difference?" she asked, teasingly. "Sides, I dunno what you get so bent out of shape over. All it means is you'd be good for childbearin'."

[fionna_time]

"Well yeah, flabby is out of shape and round is...round! There's totally a difference!"

Whoa, someone's red. "Yeah, I'm not really thinking about that junk anytime soon."

"Me neither," Sette said fiercely. "More like 'ever' for me, though! I mean, I'm prolly too skinny to do it properly anyway. Not that I care."

[fionna_time]

"You're skinny now, but that might change," Fionna said, slightly envious of the bloomers now. "Why wouldn't you care anyway?"

"'cuz poppin' out babies is a mugs game!" Sette said loudly and proudly. "Ain't nobody take you serious when you gotta spend nine months outta the year laid up an' the rest sucklin' with a babe at yer teat! I intend to avoid that altogether."

[fionna_time]

"Oh, I dunno man. I don't want one now, you know, cuz I'm an adventurer and junk. But maybe one day, I guess, I might want a kid of my own, a little adventurer to carry on our awesomeness!"

Granted, she'd have to actually DO stuff with a guy for that, but she'd think about it later.

Sette stared at her blankly. "Ya disappoint me. I didn't take ya for such a sucker."
