Characters: Katina, Subaru, and Akiha
Date: I'll get back to you on that in a moment
Summary: Nightmare make relationship go BOOM
Warnings: Smooches? Anger? Poooossible violence?

...the well had given her some advice, she supposed. That was good advice, right? Talk it out. Deal with the consequences. Try not to hurt anyone any more than you already are you dumb bitch.

But those nightmares, if she could call them that, were her own thoughts, her own mind, with a voice reassuring her beneath it all. When did she start letting people push her around? Sure, when she was absolutely dumb and wrong, Russell had gotten away with putting her back on track, but that was rare. She took charge and she took what she wanted and did what she wanted and people listened. Even if people she couldn't fight didn't like it, she could be persuasive when pressed.

Now Akiha was pushing her around, had a collar on her, and she was crying and desperate over her and Subaru, letting how they feel decide things that she should be deciding, making it painful for her to do what was just coming naturally. Ha, like they knew the real her. She'd been a pansy, sucking up, just for what? A little emotional security, some good sex? Katina didn't need that if it meant not having any guts.

She knew when Subaru was active, knew when Akiha was active, and just had to make them cross paths. If they didn't like the truth about her, fuck 'em. She waited for Akiha to come by outside of the mansion, where she knew Subaru would see them if she came by, running or whatever.

"It's still not too cold out yet huh?"

The slap made her wince, but she was just glad that it was no more than that otherwise she would have probably leapt from the at Akiha without even thinking of the 'why'. Because no one gets hurt around her, was that it? They were both already hurt; deeper than physical scars could reach. Because no one else could hurt Katina in return? That was probably closer to the truth, but at least she didn't act on that desire.

But then Katina was leaving, and she couldn't have that. Not yet.

"Wait!" Subaru barked that out with more conviction than before, prying apart grit teeth in order to do it. Her feet carried her swiftly to Katina's side where she none-too-gently pull on one shoulder to turn the woman to face her. Akiha got a piece of her for that indiscretion, so now it was Subaru's turn. She reached up with her hands for each side of the taller woman's neck as Subaru took one final look in Katina's mismatched eyes, not even bothering to hide the contempt.

Finally she tightened her grip—

—and tore the fastening of the collar apart with all her might.

Subaru stepped back, the broken adornment clutched in a tight fist. Perhaps Akiha didn't deserve her distrust and hate to the extent she initially believed, but it still felt really good to do that regardless. To make it clear to both of them how she felt about that side of the arrangement. Even though that girl was just as equally played by Katina as Subaru had been, right now, she had little sympathy to spare.

Akiha had just been turning to go back inside when Subaru rushed to Katina and tore the chain collar off her. The collar hadn't even been in Akiha's thoughts until then, but to see something of hers destroyed like that by someone else... If anyone had the right to tear it off Katina, it was hers.

Reflexively, Akiha's eyes bore into Subaru as her hair flashed vermilion again. Her power, the unseen, unbreakable strands wrapped about Subaru as Akiha restrained her. The cold was so biting as it leeched the woman's heat, that it came close to making it feel like her target would burst into flame at any second.

Kill...

But it was only for a few seconds before Akiha realized what she was doing. She visibly shook her herself, her non-bleeding hand coming up to her temple, then she turned away. Suddenly, the strands were gone and Akiha's hair returned to black before she slammed the back door of the mansion behind her.
