Summary: A slumber party, but it seems the faerie that Nue and Sanae raised is gonna be causing some trouble

For now, she'd be somewhat ambushed by a smiling, almost drunk looking Sanae.

"Hey there, gorgeous, come here often?"

"Wh-wha— Sanae!" Her wings did something like flap and then flare outward, holding themselves rigidly straight for a moment before they relaxed and curled again. And, as if that action hadn't been obviously flustered enough, her face reddened as well. "D... Don't be ridiculous! Has something gotten into you?"

Sanae just laughed, reaching to brush her hand through Nue's hair. "Don't be silly! 's just me!"

"Y— You seem awfully affectionate at the moment." She didn't try to push her away or step back herself, though, even if her wings continued their nervous squirming. "Did something bring this on, or are you just excited for your little slumber party?"

[hihou]

"I just saw you in the corner over here and I say to myself... SELF, that's the girl you love and you should go show her that RIGHT NOW... And so here I am!" She giggled mindlessly, shifting to roll around in Nue's lap.

...What.

"Sanae, I think there's something wrong with you." She tried to push the girl out of her lap, but the action was a little half-hearted, more because she didn't want to hurt her feelings or anything like that. "Can't... Can't this wait until later? When there aren't going to be, you know, other people around?"

"Come ooooooon don't be such a stick in the mud! Gimme a kiss!" That pushing would have to become a bit more than half hearted, with Sanae reaching up and trying to grab at Nue's face and making exaggerated kissy lips.

"Wh— H-hey, stop it!" Nue made to grab Sanae's face as well, though in an entirely different way. More the kind of way where fingers were at a serious risk poking eyes or winding up in her nose. "You're acting really weird! Are you drunk or something?"

"KISSY KISSY!" Sanae showed no signs of backing off. Or even clarifying what the hell had gotten into her. To be entirely honest, she didn't even know.

"U-ugh... If I let you kiss me, will you settle down?"

[hihou]

"Mmmmmaaaybe~?" Sanae blushed rather deeply, her thoughts obviously going... terrible terrible places.

"...Wh-what are you thinking about?! I said one kiss."

"Beware, youkai, as the mind of a human teenager is a dangerous place~" Sanae giggled, going back to rolling around in Nue's lap.

The only thing that worried Nue more than Sanae's behavior was the idea of Sanae wandering around like this unsupervised, so she did something potentially stupid and wrapped her arms around her waist, holding her there. Her wings, likewise, folded around the two of them. "...If you say so. Look, I'm going to ask again: What's gotten into you?"

And just like that, she goes from "affectionate" to morose.

"What's gotten into me? What's gotten into you! ... Do you now love me anymore? Why are you rejecting me?!"

That was met with some sputtering. "Wha— I'm not rejecting you! B-but when you're acting so weird... You can't just expect me to go along with it like there's nothing strange going on!"

"Everyone is thinking we're physical, so why can't we be? Is that so weird? Is it because I'm a girl?" Sanae, please.

"...Ugh. Look, Sanae, you're acting really weird all of the sudden. It's kind of worrying me. And if I didn't care about you, I wouldn't care about that, right?" She flushed a little, but then went on without pause, "And it's fine if you want to do physical things, but you should do them because you want to, not because of what other people think, and frankly with the way you're acting now I think it's probably a good idea to wait and see if you still feel like this later."

"You... Y-you... You can't tell me what to do! You're not my mom!" That didn't even make sense...

"Wh... What? I should hope not." She made a face. "Look, could you at least tell me what you were doing before you found me?"

[hihou]

"I was playing with our child, Nue! Our child!" That... makes even less sense.

...Wait, what?

"...Sanae, our 'child' has been gone for weeks now. What are you talking about?"

And as if on cue, the fairy pops up on Sanae's shoulder, giving Nue her best attempt at an apologetic look. Sanae's inebriation? Her fault.

And just like that, her expression shifted from something perplexed to something...even more perplexed, and also a little incredulous.

"...Are you kidding me? This— This is ridiculous."

... And then Sanae's expression changed again. "Ugh... I feel sick..." The fairy gave Sanae a ginger pat to the head.
