Really should know better.
Characters: Fionna, Open
Date:December 9th
Summary: Mistletoe mischief! Also, I had just missed the one last year:(
Warnings: None yet.
A gloom had come over many of her friends, and it was bringing Fionna down...almost. After all, the weather was changing, and there was something about the way the weather had changed that made Fionna feel happy. If her friends weren't going to be happy, she could at least try for them, right?
And what was the best way to do that but to try to get into a festive mood? Fionna was in the gardens, putting flowers in her hair, her hair combed neatly and flowing a little longer than usual out of her hat. It would have surprised even Cake back home: she had never looked this primped up.
Of course, this would have actually been a good idea to look at Alice's post, but like most alerts, Fionna had missed them and was walking around the gardens, seeing what food she could gather in the treefort later. True, she was really only there half the time, but you never knew what you would need later, right?

She had been expecting...big bloody steaks or something.

Yes, this was actually a valid concern for her. Fionna thought this night had to be perfect.

She gave Fionna a kiss on the cheek, and then sat down at the table.

She flushed happily with the kiss, then sat down, fidgeting slightly with her hair.
"Uh, sorry, still getting the hang of this!"

Amamiya took the salad and began piling some onto her plate.
"I don't think we should eat too much, anyway," she commented. "I wouldn't want to feel bloated when we...you know."
no subject
"Nah, I wouldn't anyway, I'd be way too nervous!" She smiled sheepishly. "But I'm also kinda not, you know?"
no subject
She was doing a reasonable job of hiding it, but she was nonetheless.

She reached over and lightly put her hands on the girl's shoulders. "If you feel bothered about anything, we can always stop. I want this to be special, with both of us happy."

It was safe to say that Fionna was blushing up a storm. Sure, they had sort of seen each other a little like that, but after all this time, and all they'd been through? That would be something special. Just the idea of seeing Amamiya like that brought a flush of good feelings down her back.
"So, um. How would we even start?"
no subject
It would be a shame to waste all of this food.
no subject
"Hope you're hungry!"

Which, considering what was happening next, made her pretty happy.
"Yeah, I'm kinda done too."
no subject
"So...so. Should we go to the bedroom? Or-or maybe we could start on the couch?"
no subject
"The bedroom would probs be more comfy. Let's go in there."
no subject
She sat down on the edge of the bed, carefully tucking her skirt under her, and watched as Fionna followed her in.
no subject
She sat next to her, lightly touching her hair. "I never got to thank you, for all the hair tips. It looks a lot nicer, thanks to you."
no subject
She tilted her head, bringing it in for a kiss.

The bunny hatted girl had no problem moving into the kiss, pulling Amamiya closer to her and feeling the girl's hair between her fingers. If you had asked Fionna what she would have liked right now, it was this, snuggled close to the girl that made an impact the first moment they met.
