Tenshi and Kazumi

Characters: Kazumi, Tenshi, and an unspecified number of horrors. Also snow.
Date: During the snow event, 22th and following
Summary: Tenshi and Kazumi are alone and have to deal with it
Warnings: Snow, terrifying monsters, and cuddling.



The only thing in sight was a small hut, in the middle of essentially nowhere. Snow in all directions, as far as the eye could see. Aside the howling wind, there was no noise - there was little that could, at the moment. After all, other than the hut, a few scattered trees, and the snow, nothing else seemed to exist.

Inside the hut were two women, both from Earth, although most likely from different versions thereof. And it was now that they began to awaken...

"...We don't have that, either, don't we..."

...

"So, we only got water, a little bit of your pocky, and...that."

The celestial pointed at the sole method for warmth while sleeping.

"...And I don't see anything near outside. I think I'll go out for a moment and look if I see anything if I fly up."

"Isn't it dangerous to fly in that kind of weather?" Kazumi said worriedly.

"Yeah, but don't worry, I won't be taken out by mere weather!"

"W-well, then... be careful," Kazumi said weakly, "... and don't go too far. If you can't find your way back to the building, then..."

She trailed off... she hated to think how she would do if she ended up alone in this building.

"Oh, don't worry. Look."

Tenshi called one of her keystones (after all, weapons remained, and they certainly counted) and placed it in the middle of the room, in the air.

"I know exactly where it is, just have to fly back! Don't worry, I only endanger strong people so they get mad at me and fight me, I'd not endanger you on purpose."

And off she went, returning shortly after several minutes...

"S-so... what did you find?" Kazumi asked.

She was lucky she started to bundle up in winter clothes before this started, but that didn't stop her from shivering a bit as the door opened to admit Tenshi back in.

"...Nothing. At all." Tenshi said with an annoyed tone. "Literally, nothing. No idea where this is at all, there's just snow. If we want something to eat, I guess we have to go for berries and such. Maybe roots..."

"O-oh..." Kazumi said weakly, before suggesting, "... if... there's anything to find, I guess we should look before the snow piles up too much...?"

"Better be quick. No point being out there too long..."

Tenshi really didn't know what to do, though. She wasn't one who generally helped, but...actually getting normal humans harmed just wasn't what she did. She might pretend to, but that was a completely different matter.

She sure could survive a while like this. A normal human, though...?

"Y-yeah..."

She hesitated a moment, before suggesting, "We could bring the sleeping bag to carry stuff."

"Won't it get completely wet from all the snow, though?"

"..."

She hadn't quite thought this through, obviously.

"I guess...? It'll be hard to carry a lot with just our hands, though..." she paused at that, before glancing at Tenshi's hat.

"Not the hat!" Tenshi glared, and then pointed at the keystone. "We could use those, I guess?"

"They're not really shaped for carrying stuff, though..." Kazumi pointed out.

"Well, my hat isn't either, right?" Tenshi said, looking around. "Maybe I could hole a keystone out a bit with my sword. That'd work..."

"Yeah, that's a good idea. And then you could put another keystone over it so it doesn't get filled up with snow."

"Right. Like that. Good idea!"

...And so it was done. After using the sword of Hisou on the keystone cutting up a poor keystone, they now had a floating box.

"Well, that's that."

"Alright... I think we're ready to get some food, now," Kazumi said.

At the thought of going out in that snow, she unconsciously hugged herself.

"It's... um, how cold is it?"

"Pretty cold I guess...better be careful and such. Might be ice below the snow."

"W-well..." she took a breath, mentally preparing herself, "L-let's get this over with."

Tenshi nodded. "Here we go."

The snowing hadn't stopped at all, as it soon became evident. Thankfully, the celestial herself was rather hardened against weather (that celestial skin thing sure came in handy), but the human with her had it harder, so she knew to get this over with quickly.

Still, needing to look after someone else was something she'd not usually do.

"U-uwah..."

She wasn't as bundled up as she had been when she was just lying in the snow that one day, unfortunately, so it wasn't long until she started feeling the effects of the weather.

"C-cold..." she mumbled.

"Better hurry, then." Tenshi said loudly. "There was a group of trees that way, we could start looking there."

She pointed in a seemingly random direction and started to move, then turned and looked back at Kazumi.

"A-alright, then..."

She'll do her best to keep up, stubbornly trudging through the snow. There's no way she'd let herself get beat by the snow, especially when she just barely started out...

"Okay, I guess we could take those berries...you gather them. I'll try if I find something there...there should be nuts if the tree is the one I think it is..."
