Tenshi and Kazumi

Characters: Kazumi, Tenshi, and an unspecified number of horrors. Also snow.
Date: During the snow event, 22th and following
Summary: Tenshi and Kazumi are alone and have to deal with it
Warnings: Snow, terrifying monsters, and cuddling.



The only thing in sight was a small hut, in the middle of essentially nowhere. Snow in all directions, as far as the eye could see. Aside the howling wind, there was no noise - there was little that could, at the moment. After all, other than the hut, a few scattered trees, and the snow, nothing else seemed to exist.

Inside the hut were two women, both from Earth, although most likely from different versions thereof. And it was now that they began to awaken...

"R-right..."

She'll gather some berries as directed, dusting snow off them before depositing them into the hollow keystone.

Tenshi returned soon after, with a handful of snowy nuts. "I guess there's more nuts over there. So you will at least not starve?"

"That's good... h-hopefully this snow shouldn't last too long..."

After gathering some more nuts and berries, the keystone-box was filled, and tenshi moved the second stone on top of it, 'closing' it.

"There we go, that wasn't to..."

...And then she looked in the direction behind Kazumi. "Now what is that."

"Huh...?"

Kazumi whirled around, trying to peer through the snow.

"W-what is it?"

"Didn't you see it?"

Tenshi quickly stepped into the direction, making a path through the snow. "I definitely saw a shape...someone was there!"

"Ah..."

Kazumi took a few steps to follow, though her shivering was getting more noticeable.

"M-maybe it was somebody?" she raised her voice to call out, "H-HELLO?!"

"They ran...why? Shouldn't they try to talk to us...?"

Tenshi seemed surprised, then looked at Kazumi. "You're really freezing, huh?"

"I-I don't know..."

She shivered a bit, rubbing herself, "Y-yeah, I'm... I-I-I'm really starting to g-get cold..."

"Lets get back then, there's enough...food..."

Tenshi led the way again, although finding the way was easy due to the tracks.

"R-r-right..." Kazumi mumbled, her teeth chattering as she followed Tenshi back.

"I could offer to carry you, if you like and it's too much of a pain. Wouldn't want everyone blaming me for giving you a cold or something."

Naturally, she was refering to a keystone.

"T-that... I-I can make it... it's not that far away, r-right...?"

"Right. It's pretty close, I guess! Just a mile or two."

"A-a-a mile or two? D-did we really g-go out that far?"

"We've been out for a bit. ...And there was something again! Why are there people out here in the snow but not coming any closer to us?"

"M-m-maybe they're not people..." Kazumi said weakly... before tripping over something and falling towards Tenshi.

"Hey, careful!" Tenshi noticed, since she had been looking back, and caught her at her jacket before she could fall, pushing her back up. "Lots of stuff below the snow huh? Guess I would have to fly to catch these...

they looked human-ish tho..."

"S-sorry..." Kazumi said lamely, starting to step more carefully.

She looked back towards where she last saw shapes, "... w-well, even if they look human-ish right now, they might look completely different up close..."

After a short pause, she added, "A-are we almost there?"

"Yeah, don't worry, it's close, it's close. You know what? Screw this, this is a pain."

She didn't bother waiting for the reply, and simply lifted Kazumi up, flew up a few steps, and started flying back to the hut, her keystone floating behind her.

"...?!" Kazumi let out a surprised squeak, unconsciously holding onto Tenshi as she was given the flight express back to the building.

"There we go." Tenshi said after arriving at the hut, kicked the door open, entered the hut, and let Kazumi down.

"Wonder what that stupid queen wants with this."

"M-maybe it's not the queen d-d-doing this?" Kazumi said, rubbing herself and shivering since she was still cold.

"Could be any of her stupid goons..." Tenshi said. She had felt the cold, of course, but nowhere near as strong as Kazumi. Being a celestial sure paid off.

"But it seems more like her. Like the stars. Probably tried to make it winter and..did this.

"I-I-I guess that's p-possible..." Kazumi said, shivering rather uncontrollably still.
