Characters: Lambda and OPEN
Date: Monday, October 10th
Summary: Gone Fishing.
Warnings: Should be none! This will be updated if anything comes up.
Notes: Feel free to help Lambda find a more...normal way to fish and/or teach her about other foods and/or help her cook things. ...Or just come and stare at the robot girl. That works too.
[It has been two weeks since Lambda arrived in the Gardens for a second time—and, therefore, two weeks since Norway taught her to make the one and only meal she knows how to prepare. The lack of variety in her diet does not bother her, though. Lambda has no concept of eating for taste, and she does not need to metabolize nutrients in the same way humans do, so even just lutefisk is enough.]
[She is in battle mode as she approaches the small river she has taken to acquiring fish from, but not because there is anything in the Gardens that makes her feel threatened. Rather, this is the only way she knows how to fish. The optic in the center of her visor focuses on the water as she reaches the edge of the stream, her sensors pinpointing the location of the fish easily. It's easy to calculate their trajectory as they flit under the surface of the water, so she extends her arm, and then—]
[—the air seems to open up, an energy blade zipping downward at just the right angle to cleave one of her targets in half. The surface of the water barely splashes from the disturbance.]
[With that done, Lambda leans downward and scoops the bisected animal from the water with her hands. Then, she straightens up again, intending to repeat the process as many times as she has to in order to obtain a satisfactory amount of fish.]

Food should be consumed on the basis of nutritional value.
no subject
What's..."nutritional value"?
no subject
Nutrition- the provision, to cells and organisms, of the materials necessary (in the form of food) to support life. Nutritional value refers to the level of ability of a particular substance to provide the necessary nutrients required for this end.

So, um...eating food supports you...and certain foods are better than others?

So fish is good...oh, what's your name? Are you new here?

It means, um...that it's good. I like meeting new people.
no subject
[Read: She doesn't understand why it's "nice" to meet a new person. She tilts her head a little at Xion's explanation, curious.]
...Why?
no subject
There's always the chance that I could make a new friend. And that means a lot to me.
no subject
[Lambda has no concept of the need for companionship. She sounds genuinely curious.]

[She speaks slowly, clearly working very hard to wrap her head around this concept.]
