A gloom had come over many of her friends, and it was bringing Fionna down...almost. After all, the weather was changing, and there was something about the way the weather had changed that made Fionna feel happy. If her friends weren't going to be happy, she could at least try for them, right?

And what was the best way to do that but to try to get into a festive mood? Fionna was in the gardens, putting flowers in her hair, her hair combed neatly and flowing a little longer than usual out of her hat. It would have surprised even Cake back home: she had never looked this primped up.

Of course, this would have actually been a good idea to look at Alice's post, but like most alerts, Fionna had missed them and was walking around the gardens, seeing what food she could gather in the treefort later. True, she was really only there half the time, but you never knew what you would need later, right?

Reimu frowned some more before responding. "Before coming here, relationships were the last thing on my mind. I do not like being forced to try and build one. I have friends, and that's all I want right now..."

Reimu did look away at that last part. Truth was that the idea of being with someone had been popping up more frequently the past few months, and she has been doing her best to push those thoughts away.

"Dude, no one's telling you that you have to be with anyone. Heck, I was totally fine being by myself, I have adventures to go on and things to see! Relationships just sorta happen when you're with someone you like. No queen can force that."

Granted, she made it possible for Fionna to be in just the right situation and meet the right person, but that was it! The rest, she though, was more about Amamiya and how awesome she was.

"I still see it as her controlling us. You got into the relationship with her because the queen put you here and made you see girl relationships everywhere."

Reimu sigh and shifted her weight. "I have people I like, but I don't like having the like being changed into something more because I am here and because of all the incidents the queen puts us through."

[fionna_time]

"So? Just because she did that didn't mean I had to go and like a girl. I could have just ignored it, like you. I didn't because I'm totes honest with myself: Amamiya was just the one I wanted."

She shrugged. "The queen can do whatever she wants, but she can't crack into my mind bro! I AM A FORTRESS!"

Reimu looked at Fionna for a moment before she answered. "Well, if that's what you really think, then fine. I suppose some thoughts have passed through my head about that, but I rather just try to keep my fellow Gensokyoites safe then worry about finding a girl to make out with."

Reimu then pointed to the Mistletoe. "Ok, let's just get out from under this thing. I have to kiss you on the lips. It doesn't count if I kiss your cheek or forehead."

Fionna nodded. "Yeah dude, I think that. I wouldn't say it if I didn't mean it. But keep on doin' what you do, just be careful who you tick off."

Oh right, the kissing thing.

"Ok man, get ready and stuff. One...two...three."

And she reached over and gave Reimu a kiss, full on the lips.

Reimu Just closes her eyes and tries to imagine she is she placing her lips on some food. She can't help be notice how warm Fionna's lips are though.

Fionna made sure to kiss long enough so the stupid queen would be satisfied, and not too long where it just got weird. Letting go, she stumbled, then grinned.

"Sweet, we're free again!"

Reimu opened her eyes and took a few steps back.

"Seems like we are. Now just make sure to watch out for those plants."

Fionna nodded.

"Yeah, I will! No way am I letting it catch me again!"
