[ To say that Mugi was excited when Akira just up and asked her out for dinner would be an understatement. The young girl had been slowly coming to grips with the reality of this reality that she had not quite been the picture of the bubbly, musical, sometimes-romance-obsessed girl that she had been upon arrival.

Perhaps this would be a good revival of that.

There had been but once question: "What do you want to do? We'll go wherever you want."

The answer might not have been quite what was expected: "I wish to visit the highest point we can find!"

What better place to hold a quiet picnic for two than atop the ledge of a giant freaking clock tower? Nowhere, that's where. ] Ah, it's so breezy up here! [ Perhaps her skirt shouldn't have been so flowy, but she did want to look nice for tonight. At least her hair is up and tied enough to not get in her eyes too much, and things did seem to be calming down as the sun continued to set in the distance. ]

[ Mugi is perfectly still, but with her lips parted for that brief moment after the half-kiss. Or maybe it could be called an off-target kiss? Semantics. ] You fluster— um, I mean. Flatter. Me.

Nah... I don't have to turn on the charm for you. Just be myself. I mean every word I say. I definitely think I'm falling for you.

[ —okay, her heart racing is most certainly not her imagination. She is completely speechless. This is a moment she's certainly read about many times, in many different stories, but now that it's her turn to go through with it all those panels turned blank in her mind.

So her brain decides... to go with word association? Great. ] I thought falling wasn't on tonight's agenda.

Whoops. My bad. -Akira laughed, knowing full well what impression her words had made on Mugi.-

[ She smiled. It seems like she was in danger of derailing the entire topic. ] I... would not being "charmed", if that's what you call it, Akira-kun. I've never experienced that before! [ And Mugi will try just about anything once. ]

In that case, give me some time to prepare. I'll give it my best shot.

[ How exciting! ] Please, take all the time you need.

Fair warning, we're talking the full on extent of my ability here. You gotta tell me when it gets to be too much.

Until then, I've got you all to myself tonight, right?

[ Mugi nodded. ] Yes, that was the idea.

Good. Then I won't feel bad when I do this. -And just like that, a hand came up to tilt Mugi's chin so that Akira could kiss her fully. No missing this time. It was only the beginning, too. A sign of things to come.-

[ Oh.

Oh.

Oh that is very much a thing that is happening and Mugi would approve if she were able to think anything much less voice it and wow is it warmer up here suddenly she thought it was so drafty a minute ago and should she have her eyes closed or open let's just forget it because there are more important things to consider right now like breathing. ]

-The kiss is tender, sweet. She suckles a bit on Mugi's lower lip, even before finally pulling away. She presses her forehead to the other girl's, a warm smile on her face.-

Heh... Hey there. Still with me?

[ She lets out a tiny sound at the moment before Akira pulls away, and when she opens her eyes Mugi has the most far-away look on her face. ] Uh-huh... [ No, she's totally in the clouds. ]

Because you look like you're daydreaming.

[golden_gaytime]

[ She slipped her eyes closed and giggled. ] No, I think I'm quite done with dreaming for a while.

[drinkswithminors]

Ah, well that's good. I'd hate to just be only a dream for you.

[golden_gaytime]

It isn't anything like that! [ Mugi was quick to answer, and sounded so sure of herself. It was actually a strange thing to say, wasn't it? ]

[drinkswithminors]

-A little.- I don't doubt your feelings are real, Mugi.

[golden_gaytime]

I never doubted it, myself. [ Even if there were other things she DID doubt. ]

[drinkswithminors]

-That earned Mugi another kiss... though this one was a tad less tender and several tads more passionate.-

[golden_gaytime]

[ She's less surprised by this one, but no less passive. It's just that she isn't sure what to do beyond accepting that kiss — thinking that accepting it in the first place was somehow selfish, just as Akira had said...

But no. This was nice. Mugi made a quiet sound to that effect, leaning gently into it after a moment. ]

-Which leads to Akira leaning back with Mugi on top of her. Just for that extra bit of security.-

[golden_gaytime]

[ There is a muffled "oh!" in there for that, because she wasn't expecting to move. Mugi's heart is racing, but she's almost as nervous as she is thrilled. Her imagination is typically stirred with little effort, but in this moment her mind is telling her that she's on her own.

Not that it stops her, as she rests comfortably against Akira. ]
