[ To say that Mugi was excited when Akira just up and asked her out for dinner would be an understatement. The young girl had been slowly coming to grips with the reality of this reality that she had not quite been the picture of the bubbly, musical, sometimes-romance-obsessed girl that she had been upon arrival.

Perhaps this would be a good revival of that.

There had been but once question: "What do you want to do? We'll go wherever you want."

The answer might not have been quite what was expected: "I wish to visit the highest point we can find!"

What better place to hold a quiet picnic for two than atop the ledge of a giant freaking clock tower? Nowhere, that's where. ] Ah, it's so breezy up here! [ Perhaps her skirt shouldn't have been so flowy, but she did want to look nice for tonight. At least her hair is up and tied enough to not get in her eyes too much, and things did seem to be calming down as the sun continued to set in the distance. ]

[ She lets out a tiny sound at the moment before Akira pulls away, and when she opens her eyes Mugi has the most far-away look on her face. ] Uh-huh... [ No, she's totally in the clouds. ]

Because you look like you're daydreaming.

[ She slipped her eyes closed and giggled. ] No, I think I'm quite done with dreaming for a while.

Ah, well that's good. I'd hate to just be only a dream for you.

It isn't anything like that! [ Mugi was quick to answer, and sounded so sure of herself. It was actually a strange thing to say, wasn't it? ]

-A little.- I don't doubt your feelings are real, Mugi.

I never doubted it, myself. [ Even if there were other things she DID doubt. ]

-That earned Mugi another kiss... though this one was a tad less tender and several tads more passionate.-

[ She's less surprised by this one, but no less passive. It's just that she isn't sure what to do beyond accepting that kiss — thinking that accepting it in the first place was somehow selfish, just as Akira had said...

But no. This was nice. Mugi made a quiet sound to that effect, leaning gently into it after a moment. ]

-Which leads to Akira leaning back with Mugi on top of her. Just for that extra bit of security.-

[ There is a muffled "oh!" in there for that, because she wasn't expecting to move. Mugi's heart is racing, but she's almost as nervous as she is thrilled. Her imagination is typically stirred with little effort, but in this moment her mind is telling her that she's on her own.

Not that it stops her, as she rests comfortably against Akira. ]

-Akira can't help but chuckle at the look on Mugi's face.- Vertigo? Something else?

No, I'm... I'm all right. [ Mugi smiles and brings a hand up to push some of her own hair back behind an ear. ] It is a little colder than I though it would be. [ And as the sun set in the distance, that would only get worse. ]

Should we call this date done and head back then? I don't want to keep you out if you're feeling chilly.

I'm sorry. I should have dressed better. [ Or at least grabbed a proper coat. In her excitement, it completely slipped her mind. ] You're warm, but... I don't want you to worry, if I got sick.

Well I can still warm you up back at the apartment.

[ If there was any hidden meaning there, it seemed to fly right over her head. ] Are you certain? I couldn't impose again so soon...

-And oddly enough, there was no second intention there.-

It's not an imposition. I'm just asking you to stay the night.

[ That's good too, because— ] Kazumi-chan won't mind, will she?

Can't see why she would.

Mmn, then... I would enjoy that! Let me call Larry to let her know that I will be out, and — oh! I should really pick up my pajamas.

You could always just sleep in your underwear. 's what I do.

[ Now she's actually a little embarrassed. ] That... isn't all that comfortable. But don't worry about it. It won't take me long to be prepared. A minute, at the most!

What do you mean by that? It's plenty comfortable. Next best thing to naked, really. -And none of this is being meant sexually, either.-

But my pajamas are really cute! [ Is that a little insistence in her tone? Couldn't be. Can't have anything to do with the fact that she hasn't made herself new clothes in an effort to deny the fact she's put on a little weight since she's arrived... ]
