Making a Map - Open
Characters: Youmu and You!
Date: August 20
Summary: Making a map of the gardens.
Warnings: None.
Youmu's still a little unsure about this place. Sure, it's pretty and all, but the scenery is so diverse! First the shrine she knew of from her own world, then a cafe suddenly opened with robots and weird gears, and she's concerned about the area she spotted with a million gadgets and flickering screens (really addictive flickering screens). It's all discomforting and strange, and to cope, she's taken to creating a map. High up in the sky she sketched out the general shape of the area, and then flew back down low to begin drawing in the more detailed parts of the land.
She's not the best artist (certainly not), but she's devoted to her work, hardly paying others any mind as she treks through the woods and crudely draws markers for each new landmark she observes up close.
"Seems there was a lighthouse over there a ways..." She tilts her head up to the sky, frowning. "Maybe I should fly back up for another bird's-eye view."

[Itsuki reviews the offered map, frowning.] This isn't horribly detailed yet... I wonder what else it needs beyond major structures and landmarks.
no subject
[But she looks down at the upside-down map in her hands, pondering.]
Maybe I could add color... But with the seasons about to change, that'd be a little silly.
no subject
I don't know... color might be interesting. But you need to finish the actual map first, or else it won't be useful. We can color it in later.
[Off in the distance, the girl sees something like a big house, maybe a mansion; looking at Youmu's map, she can't find anything looking remotely it. After a moment of searching, she gives up and points at the structure.] Hey, is that on the map?
no subject
I hadn't...! What is that, anyway? Who does it belong to? [She looks down at her map, trying to pinpoint where to make a marker for it.]
no subject
[Itsuki glances down at the map herself, working out other objects and trying to judge distance.]
Maybe put it... here.
no subject
[She picks the ink up from her ghost half trailing her, carefully drawing in a crude marker of a house and hesitating when she goes to mark it.]
Perhaps I should call it "Mystery mansion"...?
no subject
A map isn't useful if there's no difference between structures. What's to tell this mansion apart from some other mansion? Or from any other large structure? Which brings us to the other part of the job: research. Let's go figure out what this mansion is.
no subject
[Well, she's right. She didn't really think about that, all she wanted to do was mark down the different landmarks and use that as a guide.]
Well I guess I'd say it's the... mansion by the, ah... [She squints at her map, but at her suggestion, she nods.] Sure, let's go check it out. [She rolls the map up and turns to walk toward it.]
