Summary: Making a map of the gardens.

Youmu's still a little unsure about this place. Sure, it's pretty and all, but the scenery is so diverse! First the shrine she knew of from her own world, then a cafe suddenly opened with robots and weird gears, and she's concerned about the area she spotted with a million gadgets and flickering screens (really addictive flickering screens). It's all discomforting and strange, and to cope, she's taken to creating a map. High up in the sky she sketched out the general shape of the area, and then flew back down low to begin drawing in the more detailed parts of the land.

She's not the best artist (certainly not), but she's devoted to her work, hardly paying others any mind as she treks through the woods and crudely draws markers for each new landmark she observes up close.

"Seems there was a lighthouse over there a ways..." She tilts her head up to the sky, frowning. "Maybe I should fly back up for another bird's-eye view."

"I wasn't trying to sneak up on you." It just turns out that floating around more or less soundlessly makes it easy to do that, intentionally or otherwise. She follows about a step's length as Youmu retreats. "A map, though? That sounds like a good idea. I can help, if you want."

Nue must be really bored.

"You can?"

Youmu could certainly use some help, though she won't readily admit such a fact. Still, creating your own map from scratch isn't as easy as it sounded when she thought up the idea thirty minutes ago.

"Where should I head next?" She turns the map in her hands to face Nue, giving her a look at her... "detailed" map.

"Hm... Sure! Maybe one of us can fly while the other copies down what they see from the ground." That seems efficient to her. She taps her chin and leans in to examine Youmu's map more closely, her feet finally lowering to touch the ground. "Well... It'd be a good idea to go in an order where you don't have to backtrack at all. Don't you think?"

"Er, yes, order would make sense..." She backs up a bit. She still doesn't exactly trust Nue, and it's easily apparent. "Where should we begin from? I suppose the shrine would be a good basis point."

"Well... If you want to start at the shrine, we could spiral out from there. It's as good a starting point as any, especially given that it's our home for the time being." She pauses for a moment, then asks: "Do you intend to distribute this? The map."

"Distribute it?"

The thought hadn't even crossed her mind, but she nods with a shrug.

"I guess it'd be helpful for new people arriving... That seems to happen pretty often."

"Exactly. It does. And even some of the people who aren't new..." She straightens up and shrugs. The truth is, she doesn't know much of the Gardens' layout herself since she just flies everywhere all the time. It's not as though there's much consequence if she makes a wrong turn like that... "Not everyone can fly if they get lost."

"That's right, they're mostly just normal humans."

Well, "normal" is relative when you're a half ghost, but even so.

"I guess I'll distribute it once I think it's finished enough! If people make new landmarks, I suppose we'll have to edit it... Or we could set up a nice, large map in the center of the gardens that we can mark the way to."

She nods. This mapmaking adventure is becoming a lot more work than she planned, but it sounds fun.

"Hm... We could use some of that magic dirt stuff to make a sign, I guess. Maybe we could just ask people to edit it themselves when they make something new."

Normally, she wouldn't be enthused with the work involved, but at this point she's just glad to have something to do.

"Though maybe we should pick a different starting place than the shrine, then."

She nods. "What would be a good place? Maybe that place everyone seems to wake up in..."

And she shrugs. At this point, all she wants to do is complete the map; she'll worry about the rest of it later.

"We'll cross that bridge when we get there."

"Is that really the same place every time? I haven't exactly paid all that much attention to it, to be honest. We could just try to find a place that's easy to get to."

When Youmu shrugs, Nue looks up toward the sky.

"What did you want to fly up again for?"

"Oh... That, I don't know. I've never seen anyone appear."

She lowers her eyes back down to Nue.

"I suppose I was going to see where the locational center of the gardens were. If its not that clearing, we'll go to whatever is."

She begins going up, stepping off the ground and heading into the air.

"Sometimes you can see where they show up on the Vine, but I don't know. All the flowers in this place look the same to me."

When Youmu starts to fly, Nue moves to follow.

"Right away, captain."

Though that sounds more like something she should say to Murasa...

That seems to frustrate her, and she huffs. "They all look the same..." she mutters under her breath continuing her ascent. Honestly, whoever made this garden likely spent years making it as beautiful as it is, and then people like Nue simply say all the flowers look the same...! Hmph.

"They may blend together, but all the flowers have their own names and such." She looks from her map to the ground below. "Though up here they definitely blend together."

"That's true, but they don't make very good landmarks. I'm not going to remember whether there were two roses next to a lily or two lilies next to a rose."

That aside, though...

"What about the ruins? They're hard to miss, and there are a lot of places to live nearby."

She nods at the suggestion. "The ruins would be a good place to start." And with that, she begins to float down towards it.
