Summary: Mugi was invited to spend the night with Akira and Kazumi. Bathing, cooking, and recovery time commences!

[ Mugi is practically glowing with enthusiasm as she steps inside, taking in the layout of the apartment that her two friends shared. The entire structure had a very unique appearance, so she was curious what it might look like inside. This is her first time staying overnight with someone else while in the Gardens, so it's exciting on several levels.

Fortunately, Mugi had been taken while in her pajamas, so those are already in the first bag she sets down on the floor. The second holds that black-and-white dress she had been about to change into when she was told to get ready to be let go. Her hair still has a feather tucked into the bun, which seems out of place with the plain blue dress she was wearing. ]

Ah, so this is where you both live. How wonderful!

[After cleaning up, Kazumi bounces back to the bedroom - more softly once she notices Mugi is out - and over to the bed, giggling quietly.]

Goodnight, Mugicha~!

[Pulling up the covers, she slips in with the girl and snuggles up with her. It's not long before she's asleep too.]

-Meanwhile... for perhaps a good few hours after both the other girls are asleep, Akira still lays in her bed, eyes open, and staring out the window.-

You'd think it'd feel better... knowing they're safe... But I guess it doesn't work that way, does it? Lilly... what am I gonna do now?

[ What Akira's going to do is obtain +1 accidental bedmate in the middle of the night, when Mugi groggily returns to the wrong room after visiting the restroom. ]

-That... was far from expected. And to come on the tail end of her question into the nothingness of the night was almost too coincidental.-

[ Mugi at least doesn't snuggle up against who she thinks is Kazumi. Not just yet. She also murmurs a quiet apology as she settles in. ]

Mugi... wrong bed.

Hm? [ She opens her eyes and, seeing who she was next to, bolted upright in the bed. ] Ah! Oh, goodness... how did...?

Hey hey hey, it's alright. Calm down... -Akira placed a hand on the girl's shoulder, giving it a gentle squeeze.-

To be honest... I appreciate the company.

You are...? [ Realizing that it was still late and she didn't want to make more of a fuss, Mugi lowers her voice. ] I'm sorry. I must have gotten lost. [ With any other tone that was less innocent, that might seem like a poor cover-up. But no, Mugi was serious. ] Did I wake you?

Nope. I've been up.

You were? [ Pardon the questions. She's slowly waking up properly, thanks to this mishap. Mugi looks around, eyes seeking a clock or the window. ] ...it's still so late. [ Now she looks concerned. ]

I... I know. I haven't slept well. Not in awhile.

Because you were worried... [ That isn't a question. ]

... Got it in one.

[golden_gaytime]

...still? [ Otherwise, why would she be up? ]

I'm as surprised as you are.

Hmm...

Would talking about it help? [ Mugi rubs at the edge of an eye with a knuckle. ]

No offense, but you seem way too tired for a long drawn out conversation.

[golden_gaytime]

[ Mugi pouts, briefly. She refuses to let a little sleepiness get in the way of helping her friend! Her hands clap her own cheeks several times with her eyes closed. When Mugi opens them again, she gives Akira a determined look and nods once. Problem: solved! ]

... I also don't want to burden you.

[golden_gaytime]

[ Mugi takes that hand from before in both of hers. ] But that is what I want, Akira-kun.

[drinkswithminors]

... Mugi... don't kid yourself. You've barely known me for so long. You don't need my issues. I don't want to ruin what we have by daring to think we can have more.

[golden_gaytime]

[ She blinks. Maybe Mugi really is that tired, that she doesn't fully catch on to Akira's implication. Or perhaps she thought she misheard it. ] I want to know more. I don't know how much longer I will be able to stay with everyone.

[drinkswithminors]

... Well. I guess that's fair. -Akira curled her fingers about the hands holding hers.-

I'm an open book. So I guess we should just pick a chapter and roll with it.

[ Mugi smiled. ] Wherever you'd like to start, I would be fine with it.
