She hadn't noticed the sprig of green hanging from the tree branches above the protective gate which blocked off her little home. It was just another plant, one of many, hardly worth anyone's notice in a place as lush and green as this. Zinc had been busy besides. She had been gone for months now, it seemed, at the food she'd left behind in her refrigerator was far beyond rotten.
Perhaps not inedible to the likes of her, already dead and disease ridden as it was, but she had enough human dignity and a sensitive enough sense of smell that she determined to be rid of it, and to make her home suitable for guests once more. She is eager to see all of her friends, and maybe to talk to some of these new faces which appear in the mirror. So she bustles around, full of joy just to be busy and to have something to do.
The fridge is removed by the boon of unholy zombie strength and replaced again with magic dirt. She wipes down the windows, dusts all the surfaces, and washes the floors. She even ventures just far enough outside of her house to pick some flowers.
She is satisfied the house is ready and is brave enough to open her gates to any visitors.come at me bro.

"Hey, Zombie-girl. I got the food I promised ya." The good feeling of seeing her old friend again, was more then enough for Gavril to ignore the oddly hung Mistletoe hanging over her head.

It wouldn't be like that here, though. It hadn't been. There was sunshine and there were friends and she came out to greet Gavril. She also came to peek into the container excitedly.
"Delicious..."
no subject
"You got that right. This is some of the best shit I've had in my entire stay in the Garden."
no subject
"Thank you, Gavril." She was not truly all that disposed to politeness, at least... she hadn't been, before she died, but she liked it when things like gifts of food were provided with incentive to repeat themselves. "Come, we'll go inside."
She turns to lead the way, but bumps her face into something, nose wrinkling in confusion and annoyance.

She lifted a hand to touch the space where her nose had hit, pushing at first and getting nowhere. She moved on to knocking on it with her knuckles. It made no sound, but her hand did not pass through. Zinc however gave an annoyed little huff.
"Stupid barriers... why now..."
no subject
"Son of a bitch..." She sneers. "Do you think the queen if fucking with us again?"
no subject
After a moment longer she crossed her arms over her chest, turning to see if Gavril was having any more luck, but of course she wasn't.
"Why such a small box..."

"So... she wants us to do... something." Why couldn't she just say so? Sighing, Zinc glanced around curiously. She hadn't been trapped until she had come out to the gate. Was it simply because Gavril was there, or was it something else?

Gavril trailed off as she spoke. For her, love and sex of any kind had always been an expression of power or lust. The queen's concept of romantic love was simply something she never truly understood. Being trapped like this only reminded of this fact.

Still, Zinc watched Gavril thoughtfully. God, empathy was a disgusting experience, but she could understand what she had to say. Barbet was constantly batting away her hands because she was too cold, stayed away from her mouth in entirety because she was a disease ridden little animal.
"I don't mind," she murmured. "You could have a kiss, even without the Queen."
no subject
"Really? Um, I guess I'll do this right then..."
Gavril, doing her best to stave off the foreignness of her current circumstances, proceeds to wrap her arm around her fellow zombie in a close embrace. Though she was a trained killer with senses far beyond those of any human being, Gavril's movements at the moment are clumsy due to inexperience. Despite this, she tries her best to steady her movement and plants a kiss upon Zinc's cold lips.

She lingered there for a moment before moving her lips to pass across Gavril's forehead. She missed kissing people, but it was a very different experience when she was cold, when there was no breath to share. A little empty, but not entirely unpleasant.
"It's been a long time..."
no subject
"Same here." She said with a toothy smile. "So, uh, what do we do now?"
no subject
"I don't know, has the wall gone away?"
no subject
"Looks like it's gone."

She found the Queen to be a really very irritating presence. Zinc had no particular reason to obey her, a crazy monarch did not compare to Barbet at all, and yet she still found ways to make a nuisance of herself.
"Come inside, I cleaned," she decided after a moment, might have taken one of Gavril's hands and lead her along if there wasn't the box of tasty meats to be considered.

"Thank you, Gavril," she murmured, nibbling the little pieces off her fingertips. "It will be delicious."
no subject
"I'm glad you like it, not many people appreciate the taste of raw meat"
