Date: Sunday.
Summary: Kohaku's taken over the kitchen in order to prepare something delicious. The mansion is bustling with people (who aren't vampires or freeloaders), and it doesn't feel so empty. No reason to celebrate? Who needs a reason? Meet us in the dining room!
Warnings: I dunno, swearing if people who jump in the log swear?

[The layout of food is fairly luxurious. Since Akiha and Hisui have been here longer than Kohaku has, she feels like she hasn't cooked for them in a long time (even when it's just been a few days, in her time.) The orchard provided amazing ingredients, and while eclectic, western and eastern dishes sit next to each other side by side all across the table. It seems she couldn't pick a theme with her cooking, and went with 'whatever is delicious!' Don't be mad, Akiha-sama! She'll clean the kitchen later-- wait.

She calls into the mansion, loud enough for everyone to hear.]

Dinner is ready! Please don't skip out on it, there's something for everyone!

[Then she realized it probably would have been more maidlike to go door to door.

Oops.]

[Akiha comes back into the room and stops to stare for a moment. That was her chair. The head chair. HER CHAIR. What was Kris doing sitting in HER CHAIR?

She walks over behind Kris and sets her hands on the magician's shoulders. What was she going to do? Will this be a severe berating? A yelling? A nasty insult?

She waits for Kris to acknowledge her.]

[Kris peers up at Akiha. This is clearly a warm greeting from the nice household owner.]

[ Wordlessly, Kohaku will pass a dish of beef stir fry-- she's not getting into the argument about to happen verbally. ]

[Akiha squeezes Kris' shoulders a bit on the hard side, but surprisingly not enough to hurt. She leans down a little with a way-too-calm look on her face given the situation.]

Is this really where you want to sit, Kris? This seat is usually reserved for the head of the family.

It was the closest chair. [She gives Akiha a nice, warm smile though.]

Do you mind if I sit here?

[Is that smile contagious? Maybe as one tugs at Akiha's lips.]

Yes. But if you ask me nicely, perhaps I'll change my mind.

[Thanks to the music, in what was probably the oddest situation to look at, Kris asked.]

[Poor Kohaku... She may never see them this accommodating to each other again.]

Hmm. [Akiha taps her chin in pretend thought for a moment.] Very well. I'll allow it this once. [Another squeeze before she takes her hands away from Kris' shoulders.] Only this once.

[Kris turned her smile over to Kohaku.]

Thanks for serving me the food. Akiha has always been nice to me too so it's great to live here.

Is there anything in particular you would like? I made just a bit of everything!

Isn't she? She's always telling me 'Stay here while I go out and don't leave' and things like that. It's very nice of her to offer that kind of thing.

If I can, I'll have a little bit of everything.

[ A little bit of everything it is! She'll pile the more Eastern-oriented food on one plate and the Western on another. They're fairly different, after all. And she was generous with the helpings. ]
