Date: Sunday.
Summary: Kohaku's taken over the kitchen in order to prepare something delicious. The mansion is bustling with people (who aren't vampires or freeloaders), and it doesn't feel so empty. No reason to celebrate? Who needs a reason? Meet us in the dining room!
Warnings: I dunno, swearing if people who jump in the log swear?

[The layout of food is fairly luxurious. Since Akiha and Hisui have been here longer than Kohaku has, she feels like she hasn't cooked for them in a long time (even when it's just been a few days, in her time.) The orchard provided amazing ingredients, and while eclectic, western and eastern dishes sit next to each other side by side all across the table. It seems she couldn't pick a theme with her cooking, and went with 'whatever is delicious!' Don't be mad, Akiha-sama! She'll clean the kitchen later-- wait.

She calls into the mansion, loud enough for everyone to hear.]

Dinner is ready! Please don't skip out on it, there's something for everyone!

[Then she realized it probably would have been more maidlike to go door to door.

Oops.]

[Whereas it might have been more maidlike, Akiha doesn't feel like scolding Kohaku. There was pleasant music in the air and the girl was feeling far more relaxed than she had since arriving at the Garden. Perhaps it was having a semblance of her household back (though Nii-san was still missing), or perhaps it was because Kris hadn't ticked her off lately.

Coming inside from the back where she'd been gazing at the falling leaves, a mostly finished glass of a thick red liquid in hand, Akiha smiles at Kohaku.]

It smells heavenly.

Ah, Akiha-sama, where is the music coming from?

[ She'll finish putting the final touches on the dishes before stepping back. ]

Is it true the person in charge did it? I think it's a very nice gesture. Soothing!

Until it proves troublesome to do so, accepting the Queen's gesture is only proper. After all, she is our host. Perhaps she'll accept my offer for tea.

[Pause to finish the glass and then Akiha hands it to Kohaku to deal with.]

Maybe she'll be more willing to explain her reasons if treated civilly.

[ She'll refill the glass and hand it back to Akiha. ]

I'm sure being sweeter will be more effective. I doubt someone that strong responds well to threats.

[Normally, Akiha wouldn't be drinking this out in the open where their guest or Gal could see, but for some reason, it didn't seem like a big deal that day. Besides, it looked like wine to the uneducated or unobservant...]

I'll be sure to give you ample warning. And there's norhing to be nervous about, Kohaku. I have every confidence that you'll create something suitable for royalty.

Common sense isn't common. For a prime example, look at my idiot magician... She completely lacks common sense. She must have all the luck to have survived as she has.

[Akiha licks her lips and the looks down at the glass in hand. Now she's really hoping she hadn't actually said that out loud though she's certain she did.]

Laid back is just a nice way to speak of one's laziness, Kohaku.

And yet far more irritating than the more harmful ones for that very reason. She's as bad as Nii-san at times, if not worse because of her magic...

You'll get used to it eventually, but Kris is a magician. A sorceress of sorts. I allowed her to create a workshop in the basement.

It's not the same as any mentions of magecraft you may have overheard in the past while my extended family was at the mansion. Don't worry about it.
