waters black, wood in snow
Characters: Any characters searching for the Healer.
Date: October 23rd.
Summary: Finding the Healer before something potentially disastrous happens to the Gardens.
Warnings: Possible creepy?
It's been some time since the Healer took her sojourn from the Gardens, departing somewhere into the depths of the dark world known only as the Hollow. In her absence, the Gardens have become... tainted, shadowed. Perhaps worse, the Hollow's inhabitants have decided to transform the once-tranquil world into a place much like their home.
Those who have paid attention to the Crone's words, however, may know that in order for the chaos to stop, they need to find the Healer. Perhaps, as the old woman suggests, the Incarna is high in the mountains — but the way is not safe, beset by dark woods and choking fog and, of course, the world's semi-hostile inhabitants. Unless one can find a way to blend in.
Brave or cowardly as one may be, the only way to find a solution to this particular problem is to venture forth into the unknown.
[ MOD NOTE: Feel free to devise your own scenarios for any encounters or incidents during your characters' journey into the mountains of the Hollow to find the Healer and convince her to return to the Gardens. Alternately, the mods can guide you along the way if desired. ]

Sephiroth, Reeve, & Jessica: awkward science field trip
She doesn't trust that the camouflage will necessarily work, so she's constantly alert for any signs of attack. Reeve and Jessica are noncombatants. Their safety is her responsibility.]

Thanks for letting me tag along this time. This is pretty interesting; I almost wish we could keep the door open. Except for the whole risk to life and limb thing.
You guys didn't notice anything, um, helpful about the way, did you?
(sorry I'm so late to the party)
She's looking around with interest, but not straying to far from the group, as she's knows it would only give Sephiroth more to worry about.]
I didn't, actually-- and you're hardly tagging along. [Reeve smiles at Jessica, which must not be very pleasant.] You're a valuable member of the team. Besides, if you're tagging along, so am I.
Where do you think we're most likely to see any sign of the Healer, Sephiroth? Any notions?

I imagine it would be relatively far from the entrance, considering. The woman who offered information in return for fixing the problem suggested the mountains. [Sephiroth had monitored the relevant transmissions.] That seems to be quite a way in the distance.
This place is quite different from the Gardens. [Less flowers and more monsters. She'd almost say it was more like home.] We might as well make a start.

It's actually... kinda nice here. Could be brighter, but... [She shrugs.] If it weren't for the things trying to kill us, I wouldn't mind sticking around.

Yes, well I can't argue with that. Fortunately we do have with us a specialist where monsters are concerned.
I'll try to refrain from asking too often if "we're there yet".
