waters black, wood in snow
Characters: Any characters searching for the Healer.
Date: October 23rd.
Summary: Finding the Healer before something potentially disastrous happens to the Gardens.
Warnings: Possible creepy?
It's been some time since the Healer took her sojourn from the Gardens, departing somewhere into the depths of the dark world known only as the Hollow. In her absence, the Gardens have become... tainted, shadowed. Perhaps worse, the Hollow's inhabitants have decided to transform the once-tranquil world into a place much like their home.
Those who have paid attention to the Crone's words, however, may know that in order for the chaos to stop, they need to find the Healer. Perhaps, as the old woman suggests, the Incarna is high in the mountains — but the way is not safe, beset by dark woods and choking fog and, of course, the world's semi-hostile inhabitants. Unless one can find a way to blend in.
Brave or cowardly as one may be, the only way to find a solution to this particular problem is to venture forth into the unknown.
[ MOD NOTE: Feel free to devise your own scenarios for any encounters or incidents during your characters' journey into the mountains of the Hollow to find the Healer and convince her to return to the Gardens. Alternately, the mods can guide you along the way if desired. ]

Xion; open to all
Her Keyblade has changed, too, to match her new colors. To those who have only seen her hooded, the mask covers her whole face. It's like this that she finally meets no resistance, venturing into the Hollow.
Don't worry, they can split if you want.
"Oh, didn't notice it was you."
Tenshi looked cheerful, sitting on a floating rock, and was peering around. She had evidently mistaken Xion for a monster at first glance (good disguise or Tenshi being awful?).
Of course, her having no connection to Halloween, she did not actually wear a costume. Nor would she if she had known about it.
"Looking for the doctor nurse person, or whatever she was?"
anything is fine! I have no real plans
"Tenshi? You're here, too? I heard that's how to fix all this, so yeah, I am."
Me neither, just saw a familiar face for Tenshi and thought tagging would be ok ^^
No, Tenshi, you just didn't look closely.
let's see where it goes!
She lowers her Keyblade, finally over the shock.
"I just want to help. So if finding that lady--um, the Healer--is going to fix things, then I'll do it."
Indeed!
...
"You can tell them I said that, by the way. Feel free to exaggerate exactly how much I badmouthed them."
no subject
"Are they here? Did they not want to fight you? I met some people from your world, but I don't know what a "shrine maiden" is..."
no subject
Tenshi shrugged. "Either way, found anything yet? This place seems pretty devoid of interesting structures..."
no subject
Or knew of, she doesn't know the difference.
"Uh, I--...no, not really. It's hard to see with this fog everywhere. I heard something about the mountains, though...I was going to go there next."
no subject
Tenshi had, of course, not come prepared, because flying around randomly until one bumped into people who actually knew what was going on was, well, how it was usually done in Gensokyo.
no subject
Oh, Tenshi. She'd be more amused, but she sees things as a pretty dire situation.
no subject
Tenshi sadly didn't spot why Xion was concerned, she really was following the Gensokyo way. Even if it made her sound dangerous to others!
no subject
no subject
Wrong kind of careful, but Xion might appreciate the thought?
no subject
"Uhh. Okay, let's...let's go."
oh my gosh sorry!
The worst part was that Tenshi probably was not even helping Xion by her presence - quite the contrary, she might even attract creatures.
lmfao never apologize for her
"Look out!"
no subject
The warning came in time, and Tenshi reacted rather quickly - by summoning a large, floating rock as a shield right in the dive-bombing harpy's way. Youch!
no subject
"Wow...that was fast."
She just hopes Tenshi's idea of "fighting" doesn't involve finishing off the enemy mercilessly like Lambda's.
No, this does not mean there needs to be a battle OOCLy, I suck at writing em lol XD
"Hey! Why are you down already! Get up! Hey! Oh COME ON! Why does this happen every time!? Why can't I just have a proper battle for a change!"
lolol
Well, rocks are pretty hard...I think I'd want to lie down if that happened to me. Then again, you're used to fighting people who are really strong, right?
no subject
no subject
no subject
[Well, it was unlikely, to be fair, but Tenshi could always hope. Too bad she was unlucky about actually getting her fights...she had had less than three during her whole stay in the garden!]
Really, there'll probably be a strong one right next to the priestess person.

And I really think that's what's happening, it usually is something like that. It's like when there's suddenly winter in spring, someone always is making winter for some stupid reason.
no subject
no subject
Something like that.
no subject
Wouldn't it be easier to move the tree? Then again, I guess trees are pretty big...

So what happened in the end? Did everything get fixed?
Sephiroth, Reeve, & Jessica: awkward science field trip
She doesn't trust that the camouflage will necessarily work, so she's constantly alert for any signs of attack. Reeve and Jessica are noncombatants. Their safety is her responsibility.]
no subject
Thanks for letting me tag along this time. This is pretty interesting; I almost wish we could keep the door open. Except for the whole risk to life and limb thing.
You guys didn't notice anything, um, helpful about the way, did you?
(sorry I'm so late to the party)
She's looking around with interest, but not straying to far from the group, as she's knows it would only give Sephiroth more to worry about.]
I didn't, actually-- and you're hardly tagging along. [Reeve smiles at Jessica, which must not be very pleasant.] You're a valuable member of the team. Besides, if you're tagging along, so am I.
Where do you think we're most likely to see any sign of the Healer, Sephiroth? Any notions?
no subject
I imagine it would be relatively far from the entrance, considering. The woman who offered information in return for fixing the problem suggested the mountains. [Sephiroth had monitored the relevant transmissions.] That seems to be quite a way in the distance.
This place is quite different from the Gardens. [Less flowers and more monsters. She'd almost say it was more like home.] We might as well make a start.
no subject
It's actually... kinda nice here. Could be brighter, but... [She shrugs.] If it weren't for the things trying to kill us, I wouldn't mind sticking around.
no subject
Yes, well I can't argue with that. Fortunately we do have with us a specialist where monsters are concerned.
I'll try to refrain from asking too often if "we're there yet".
America, Lithuania and Prussia
So now America is waiting for Lithuania and Prussia at the entrance to the Hollow. She seems a little nervous about going in. ]
Re: America, Lithuania and Prussia
Not scared, I hope? [She checked the bullets in her latest acquisition--a 5" barrel handgun]
no subject
I'm sure there's nothing we can't handle in there.
[Attempting to actually be nice here. She is kind of excited at the prospect of information.]
no subject
[ Subtly hiding behind them... ]

[Still, she looks back at America. America seems really nervous, after all.]
no subject
Don't worry! I have this, after all... [ She pats the plastic thing on her back it doesn't actually do anything but let her believe. ]
So let's go! [ And she runs through, shivering a little once she gets to the other side. It's dark and cold. ]
no subject
Who wants to bet we'll find her in a castle? [She tries to lighten the mood.]
