Characters: Jessica + Anyone interested
Date: Present day, present time
Summary: Homesickness + Denial + Magic Dirt = an exciting new feature on the landscape!
Warnings: Mild angstmuffinry?
So, magic dirt. You grab some, you think about the thing you want, and boom, done! Woo.
At least, that's the theory. Possibly it was a bad idea for Jessica to try to develop something while she's stressed and freaking out because the full weight of her situation finally hit. Because now, she keeps trying to make something fortressy, but all she comes up with are things from home.
Beige wallpaper.
A soft peach couch with frayed arms and an old antimacassar.
The carpeted stairs with a stubborn purple stain.
A varnished wooden board with pegs bearing leashes.
She frowns, furrowing her brow, and tries to will everything to take the shape her brain wants, not the shape her heart does. Mind over matter, right? Right.
Stone, thick and solid.
A tower, tall enough to see all the Gardens.
Off-white painted walls with a border of pink flowers.
A desk with a lamp attached, and a built-in holder for pens.
A window with yellow blinds, sunlight streaming in.
No, no, no, stop it!
Her room ignores the orders, sweeping up and over her.
There's a stone tower in the garden, with a window at the top. There's a fully-furnished bedroom inside.
There's a Jessica seated on the bed, hugging a pillow and crying.

Evasive maneuvers! Quick, windowsill, show her the best answer to get this overwith quickly and without dignity loss!
...dammit, windowsill, why do you not provide a script immediately.
"I'm... OK..."
Jessica: worst liar ever.
Stupid notification mails.
Tenshi may not be the best observant, but this was too obvious to escape even her notice.
"Oi. I'm not human, but I can spot when humans lie. You don't seem okay. What's up? Did someone trap you in this tower or something? I did hear stories about princesses in towers and stuff, you're one of those now?"
Damn you, LJ!
"No... I'm... I just fucked up, OK? I'll... I'll fix it..." She shrinks behind the pillow, trying to hide her embarrassment and awkwardness.
Argh......
"You...err...slept with someone?" She then asked, perfectly sincere confusion on her face. "Uhm, why are you crying them?"
Re: Argh......
"Oh God, no! No, no, no, who would I even- I don't- Nobody-"
Tenshi seems to be particularly talented at making Jessica's brain blow fuses today.
"No. I just... messed something up, okay?!" It's rather more vehement than she intended. Her ears are burning.
no subject
"Err...right. What DID you mess up, then. The tower? It looks fine!"
no subject
Done.
"It's, uh..." She becomes inordinately interested in her curtains. "It was supposed to be part of a fortress. Not... my room."
no subject
"So...you wanted to make a fortress, and added your room instead, creating some kind of unholy combination of the two?"

"I dunno... I should be used to this by now. It's not like I've never been away from home before..."

She wasn't really feeling homesick, but then she didn't care for her home much.
"Why are you so embarassed about that, though?"
Personal space and not asking inappropriate questions? Wrong celestial.
no subject
"Well, it's been weeks already. It's not really helping anyone for me to be acting like a kid." Never mind the presence of people who act like kids on a regular basis (or actual kids), the important part is Jessica acting wrong! Logic is not connected to this.
no subject
"Well, it's not as if anybody noticed, for everyone else you just built a tower, right?"

Tenshi hadn't really checked for stairs or doors because, well...celestial. She could fly just fine.
"It seems to suit the purpose just fine."
no subject
She thinks about this.
"I really hope I can change things after doing the initial building."
no subject
"I could leave you a keystone here, you can use it as a temporary elevator?"
She used floating rocks as stairs for her floating island home, so this seemed to be a small thing to her.
no subject
"Wow, really? If, um, you don't mind... I'd appreciate it." Assuming it floats under floaty rock power and not under crazy hat angel power. "I mean, I could probably still get out, but..."
Nobody said how they work, so ruling it does work like that is ok. It's magic!
Tenshi snapped her fingers, creating a roughly person-sized floating rock next to the window.
"Just stomp on it twice to make it go up or down, it'll stop in front of your window. It'll work even when I sleep, so don't worry, you don't have to wait for me to check for you."
She'd probably forget to, anyway, she was not the most responsible person.
Re: Nobody said how they work, so ruling it does work like that is ok. It's magic!
"This place is going to make me actually crazy." Giving Tenshi a bit of a smile, she adds, "Thanks a lot."
no subject
Tenshi had a reputation to defend, after all. "And no need to go crazy, really. It's just a floating rock."
no subject
"Where I come from, they tend to fall. Except for in places where there's no gravity and everything floats."
no subject
She nodded. "And thanks for keeping it secret."
