Anna was at the edge of the gardens, holding supplies in a sling made from her dress at Zero Hour. "We don't know what's out here, or what we're going to see," she said. "This is a scout run."

She was holding a similar 'bag of supplies' in the same manner as Anna.

A cheerful Tenshi arrived. Her 'supply bag' sitting strapped on a small keystone floating after her. It probably contained peaches and water, but then, as a celestial she was supposed to be ascetic.
Well, supposed toShe wasn't visibly armed, but that didn't stop her.

She saw the small group gathering and raised her hand to wave; "Major Lin?"

She wasn't sure what was stranger — the obviously non-human girl who seemed to have arrived just before she did, or the blue-haired woman with the floating bag — but she tried to keep her staring to a minimum. Instead, she made her way in from the edge of the small group, opting to stay quiet and observe for the moment.

Her packing done and her lipstick/chainsaw stored away until needed, Kanaya Maryam set out towards the meeting place. A few short minutes of walking proved to be more than enough, and she soon found herself within eyesight of the group of five.
Damn, all but one of them seemed human. What was with these universes/dimensions all using the basic human format? It was so... bland. Admittedly, a bit more of a focus on fashion was never a bad thing, and Kanaya supposed that having such neutral characteristics was what forced that on their part. (They didn't even have any horns!) Still, the red-skinned one was certainly interesting. Making a mental note to talk to them later, the empty-handed Kanaya moved forward once more towards the group.
"Greetings. I can only assume that this is the expeditionary force...?"

At this edge of the Gardens, the temperate trees were starting to give way to rainforest. The border, so to speak, was marked with a thick fog - this is what Mirielle was talking about.
"Tano, you're an empath, among other things. Is that fog giving off an aura of dread, or is that just our subconscious screaming at us?"

"For those who don't know me - as in most of you - I'm Tenshi Hinanai. I'm a celestial from a world called Gensokyo, nice to see others are interested in what's going on, too!"
She didn't spot the listening eyes and ears (not that she was particularly worried about revealing things), and instead turned elsewhere...after all, they were still waiting for a Miss Bouquet, whoever that was, and there was the 'oni'.
Innocently, she walked closer to Kanaya, and waved her hand, causing another floating rock to appear next to her. She promptly sat down on it, and looked at Kanaya. "You're an Oni?" she asked innocently, her rock floating in the air as if it was the most normal thing in the world.

She quite enjoyed being in control of things in general, to be honest.
The sudden appearance of a rock did little to phase her - likely some simple sylladex modus, requiring only gestures to access inventory space - and Kanaya redirected her gaze to the Celestial without the slightest change of expression. "Not particularly. Unless that word means something in your universe that I'm presently unaware of." A quick flick of the wrist brought out her lipstick, and Kanaya traced out a quick black coat. Yes, her lips were already black, but as any true troll lady knew it was always possible to make them blacker.
Her makeup-weaponry having done its job suitably well, Kanaya opened her palm (leaving the tube nowhere in sight - where, exactly, had it gone?) before talking once again to Tenshi. "The term you are looking for would be 'troll.' Or possibly Alternian, if we're simply discussing planet of origin."

She'd gathered a small amount of fruit from the Orchard, and she carried it in a makeshift bag she'd made from the shift she'd been wearing when she first found herself in the Gardens. Her phase gun was, as ever, holstered on the belt around her waist. As leader of a rebel group, she knew all too well how important it was to be prepared for a potentially dangerous situation.
"Sorry if I've kept you guys waiting," she said. "If I've missed any important discussion, I'd appreciate being filled in on the details." She then took the opportunity to have a good look at who exactly she was going to be working with on this expedition. "You've certainly got quite the gathering here, Anna," she observed... and upon realising that Anna was the only person here she even recognised, she added, "For those who don't know me, I'm Maria Traydor. Good to know you all."

The nonhuman, Kanaya, caught her attention in particular (in return, though she had not noticed), simply for being the first being of another species Ahsoka had seen, here, yet.
But she looked back to Anna after a moment. "Ahsoka is fine, you don't need to be formal. And the creepy fog? I don't feel anything out there. Small animals, maybe," she paused, and let her awareness stretch outwards. "A few predators." What she would have been tempted to class 'minor' predators; anything that couldn't eat you in less than two bites. She hesitated, and then added, "But the Force is strange here; it's... sort of like it's strong, but not in any way I've felt before. The whole place is strong, you know? That might be causing the feeling of anxiety." Which, loathe as she was to admit it, she, too was feeling.

"Ginga Nakajima. I look forward to working with all of you," she said, introducing herself.
She then took in what Ahsoka said, before suggesting, "We should be proceed carefully, then. Are we waiting for anybody else?"

She then folded her arms. "The whole PLACE is strong, huh?" Her eyes widened. "I wonder... nothing for it but keeping constant communication. If wierd shit goes down, we need to know IMMEDIATELY."
She stacks three rocks - palm sized, half that, and half that again, roughly - into a caern at the entrance. "That's what we'll use to mark our way."

Listening to the others describe what were apparently powers they had — it sounded like something out of a human myth, but Caprica had already started to learn that it was best to take everything with a grain of salt in this place — she shook her head. "I don't have any abilities like that. But I can fight." Very, very well, actually. "If we're lucky, though, we won't need to."
She wasn't counting on it, and moreover, she didn't believe in luck. They'd be destined to get through this safely, or they wouldn't, and that wasn't something she could know.

like always. She doesn't really have any special supplies, only that her dress was made into a revealing crop top and short skirt, because obviously the dresses weren't skimpy enough."Hey! Do I get to save the day yet?"
no subject
Maybe you should introduce yourself." [Because they need to hear it to believe it.]

"I'm the United States of America and I'll be your heroine today!" She waits a few moments before giggling to herself, "That was totally awesome and heroic, right?"
no subject
And better yet, from the sounds of it, she's as vapid as they come. An impressive feat for a member of an already lackluster race. Kanaya makes a mental note to possibly offer congratulations on that front (and immediately discards it - sarcasm is Really Not Her Thing, after all) before moving forward slightly.
"Kanaya Maryam. A pleasure to meet you, America - shall I monitor our surroundings in a desperate attempt to ensure that nothing will damage your dress any further?"
...okay, so maybe that sarcasm thing had something going for it.
no subject
"This is how you dress in America, duh! I guess, like, an alien like you wouldn't know that!" America is quite familiar with aliens, she's positive this girl is one.
Totally no second thoughts why she asked this.
"So, what do you do as a heroine? Stop people from, say, earthquaking a nation? If so, how?"

There were three people so far who had caught her interest the most, and Major Anna Lin was one of them. So when she posted a call for a scouting mission, Robin quickly sought them out. Any excuse to utilize the power of the military for her own gains was a good plan, for Robin.
She was still extremely discrete about it, sending blossomed ears out ahead of her to try to pinpoint their direction without giving her position away. Thankfully, a cheerful "Hello!" provided that insight, along with two names - Hinanai and Nakajima.
Leaving that blossom in place, Robin moved only slightly closer - still more than 30 feet away, but enough to see the area where the Major was gathering her group. Then, Robin manifested a set of eyes hidden in the leaves of a nearby tree along with another ear, letting the first ear disappear. Satisfied that she could do some solid reconnaissance while they were chatting, she turned away from them and ducked behind the hedge so as not to look like she was the one doing any spying.
She quickly started jotting down notes about the people Major Anna Lin was gathering, and used an extra pair of blossomed hands to refer to her earlier notes taken from Vine sources. She hadn't completely ruled out the possibility of revealing herself to these people, but there was no way she was going in unprepared.
