Summary: Tea party at Yukari's place!

Of course, usually Ran was the one who would do this, but her continued absence forced her hand.

After all, Chen was too young to set up things just right.

She gave everything a cursory look over. In the dining room, various tea bags and packets were on the table, as well as a kettle of hot water and cream for the Western blends. Then she opened a gap and brought in her guest.

"Oh, but I'm the sort who would let the rope go to watch them fall over".

Nothing like a little wordplay.

"Then it would be everywhere." Alice was still thinking on the topic of tea, so really, it would be.

"Then we'd have another tug of war over who cleans it up". At this point Yukari was just messing around.

"How would you..." Alice was going to ask how that would happen, but she decided against going further there. She did at least finally take the cup to her mouth, just for a tiny sip.

"Yes"? Yukari then sips her own tea.

Alice would find that her own tea is expertly made.

Taking a breath after her sip, Alice takes a bit of a deeper drink. She responds afterwards. "It's nothing. But this is quite well made. Ancient secrets?"

Yukari puts her tea down. "Knowledge is not everything. Practice is also necessary."

Alice couldn't help but feel the need to make a comment on that, both knowing that she has normally has someone else around and that she always thought Yukari took it easy.

"You have a lot of practice? Do you have a tea making hobby, even when you had your shikigami around?"

Yukari smirked. "Not so much a hobby, as much as after doing something for a millennium, you become quite good at it."

"... Is there anything you're not good at?" It was a simple question, with no hidden ill intent behind it.

She of course, new the perfect answer to that.

"Staying awake over the winter".

"And I hear no hint of shame in that fact." It was odd to Alice. How exactly could one say something like that, and be perfectly normal with it?

"Why should I not accept my vices and shortcomings?" It was another gift of age, in some ways. Everything comes down to perspective.

"Why should you not aim to overcome or improve on your weaknesses?" After all, if one had the time, they could spend it on improving one self. But, Alice had another question.

"Also, I was wondering. We both know that we would rather be home in Gensokyo, but let's ignore that. If you could choose to bring anything or anyone here, what would it be?"

"Because total perfection is overrated".

"That's an interesting question. Why are you asking that?" It was a bit unexpected.

"And impossible."

Alice was actually taken a bit aback by the question. It seemed like something normal to wonder about. Everyone should have something they desire, something they want around them. Should it not be the same here? "... Curiosity? It seems like a normal subject to me."

Yukari folded her hands over each other. "Very well. I would like to see my shikigami, and then Reimu".

A typical answer, and rather unsurprising. Alice was hoping for more actually. Like, maybe Yukari had a pet she missed. Or a pillow.

"I was hoping to hear something more."

"Like what?"

"Like perhaps a stuff toy you miss very much." Because the image of that would be priceless.

Really now? "You're the doll maker here"

Alice couldn't help but feel this could go sour fast. "And your point is? Just because I make dolls, doesn't mean someone else could have a liking for a small thing like that."

She chuckled. "But as it's relevant to your interests, it's the first thing you think of, correct?"

"So what if I'm trying to picture you grabbing onto a fuzzy pink elephant?"

She just lets out a long laugh.
