Summary: Tea party at Yukari's place!
Warnings: ....tea?

Of course, usually Ran was the one who would do this, but her continued absence forced her hand.

After all, Chen was too young to set up things just right.

She gave everything a cursory look over. In the dining room, various tea bags and packets were on the table, as well as a kettle of hot water and cream for the Western blends. Then she opened a gap and brought in her guest.

It was a normal day for Alice. As normal as it could be when you make dolls to shoot people with, anyway. Earlier she realized what day it was, but also didn't know where it would all take place. She figured Yukari would show up about it eventually, so was just biding her time. Nothing else to do, after all.

What she was not expecting was to have this sudden sinking feeling, one that makes it feel like you're falling through your floor and ending up somewhere else. Only it was less of a feeling and more exactly what happened.

Alice would suddenly find herself in Yukari's house, full of an odd mix of Western and Eastern styles; a opening door here, a sliding door there.

The table set up in the middle of the room however was definitely Western, with two chairs sitting across from each other.

And near where Alice landed was Yukari.

"Ah! I'm very glad you came, Alice! I was a bit worried for a moment that something happened."

She was smiling, of course.

Alice had an expression that was a combination of fright and that 'are you shitting me' look. It took her a few moments to collect her wits, but she soon responded. "Oh, yes. Sorry to drop in all of a sudden. Would you happen to know anything about that?"

Alice did take a bit to look around as well. This was very much an odd, odd place to be in.

Yukari broke out into a grin. This was always the best part. "Strange things happen here. Much like in Gensokyo."She extended her arm toward the table. "Won't you sit down?"

Strange things happen, yes, but Alice withheld a comment about the much older youkai being one who is behind them. She took a seat, looking slightly wary of everything.

"... Nice place."

"I'm glad you think so".

Yukari then sits down as well.

"What sort of tea would you like?"

"What do you have?" It was a simple question, yet Alice was mentally preparing for a rather lengthy list. Not that she's showing it.

Oh no, shes not getting away that easy.

"That would be telling".

Alice's face slowly turned to one of disbelief. She could not actually believe this was happening. It was tea, why was there being a mystery game about it?

"Are you being serious?"

Yukari's grin never faltered. "Now Alice, why not just make a simple choice? What would you like the most?"

Either Yukari had everything, or this was a test. Or possibly she was being screwed with. Alice couldn't decide which it was.

"How about chamomile?" It was a simple and easy type.

"Chamomile it is". Of course she did have almost everything. And she was just fooling around.

She takes one of the tea bags and holds it up. "Would you like me to pour the water for you?"

"Well, you are the host, yes?" As far as Alice knew, the host serving the guest was what is normally done.

"I always find it polite to ask. Some are rather...stubborn on doing things for themselves." And she poured the hot water from the kettle in a cup.

"Why do I get the feeling I know who some of those would be?" Alice said with a sigh. She was going to wait until her cup cooled first, it would just be stupid to try and drink at that temperature.

"You don't know the half of it" she said. Yukari then proceeded to pour her own tea.

A grin came up on Alice's face. She couldn't resist. "Should I be picturing you and someone else in a tug of war situation on who pours?"

"Oh, but I'm the sort who would let the rope go to watch them fall over".

Nothing like a little wordplay.

"Then it would be everywhere." Alice was still thinking on the topic of tea, so really, it would be.

"Then we'd have another tug of war over who cleans it up". At this point Yukari was just messing around.

"How would you..." Alice was going to ask how that would happen, but she decided against going further there. She did at least finally take the cup to her mouth, just for a tiny sip.

"Yes"? Yukari then sips her own tea.

Alice would find that her own tea is expertly made.

Taking a breath after her sip, Alice takes a bit of a deeper drink. She responds afterwards. "It's nothing. But this is quite well made. Ancient secrets?"

Yukari puts her tea down. "Knowledge is not everything. Practice is also necessary."

Alice couldn't help but feel the need to make a comment on that, both knowing that she has normally has someone else around and that she always thought Yukari took it easy.

"You have a lot of practice? Do you have a tea making hobby, even when you had your shikigami around?"
