Date: 2/1, afternoon!
Summary: America is going to teach Prussia the art of hitting stuff with a bat. I mean baseball.
Warnings: General warning for Prussia, but otherwise it should be good...

America is standing in a clear spot in the garden, swinging her baseball bat with ease. She wanted to teach someone how to play, so she invited Prussia out! America obviously had too much energy to waste and needed an outlet, so really, she'd drag anyone she could out. Prussia was just an easy target!

And so, she continues swinging the bat around as she hums Take Me Out to the Ballgame, and tries not to scare the cute rabbits away.

[The white haired woman eyed the thick glove suspiciously. Sure, it was dense enough to sustain any damage done to the hand, but it was still too obstructive. How was anyone supposed to hold the stick wearing something like that?!]

Where's the other glove?

[ America stops playing when she sees Prussia, turning to her. ]

You don't need it! You only need to catch the ball with one hand, duh! [ She throws the ball up and catches it to prove it. ]

Then what's the stick for? Which hand does that go in?

How else are you going to hit the ball? And it depends on what hand you use. I'm right-handed, so I position myself like this... [ And she goes into the regular position for righties. The position probably looks weird to someone who's never seen it before. ]

Cool, right? And make sure your hands are like the way I'm holding them too!

[She tries it and mimics] I look like Hungary whenever he's about to clobber someone.

Alright! Let's play round ball!

Baseball. And alright! Just hit the ball as far as you can, OK? It's perfectly fine if you can't get as far as me, not even the professionals can do that, hahahaha!

[With that, she swings forward... And the bat flies over America's head.]

What does that even me- ah! [ She ducks and watches the bat fly away. ]

Oh, come on! I thought you could do better than that, sis! Have you been listening to anything I've said?

[Goes to retrieve it anyway. At least it's not behind a fence.]

This thing needs leather skins around the handle. It slips too easily.

[ She rolls her eyes. ]

I thought you'd be able to hold onto a bat at least. What happened to that cool fighting teacher I had way back in the day?!

[She gives America a light thwap upside the head.] Your cool, brilliant, awesome teachers dances better with a sword than a funny stick. Now hurl that ball at me once more.

[She stands at the ready, in close imitation of America's earlier pose, and grins.]

My bat is way cooler than a sword... [ But she moves back and pitches the ball to her, a little slower this time so Prussia has time to eye the ball and hit it. ]

[She hits it this time. It's no home run, but the ball is rightfully smacked and the bat doesn't fly anywhere.]

[ She doesn't seem to impressed. ] I guess it's alright for your second try.

Well, in usual games, you have to run around the bases before someone gets the ball! But we don't really have enough people for that, so we'll just keep practicing, OK?

At least it's more fun than chucking beer bottles at Austria's windows. [To tell the truth, she's almost enjoying herself, but it wouldn't do to appear too eager before America.]

What's the farthest you got a ball to?

I don't wanna brag, but once I hit the ball in Texas and a few days later, they found it in New York! [ Exaggerating but who cares!! Everyone should know she's good. ]

Even if you can't beat me, you can still beat Japan! [ She grabs the ball and quickly throws the ball at her, even if she's not in position. ] Always be alert! It's like the battlefield!

[The bat swings too quickly. If there is one thing Prussia's proud of, it's her reflexes, even if the strength behind them needs some work when it comes to hitting a ball.]

Sneaky! You grew up well, missy!

[ America looks impressed. ] Hey, that was pretty good! Alright, alright... [ She looks around. ]

Think you can hit a ball past that tree over there? [ She points to a nearby tree. ]

Hahaha, do you really think you can? Don't hurt yourself!

But, uh... Oh! How about you get as much beer as you want from my new super-cool spaceship house? It gives you any drink you want!

[America has always been the weird one, so the sentence doesn't make much sense, even if Prussia doesn't hear anything after the word BEER. She digs her heels into the dirt, gripping the bat firmly.]

Gonna make you eat your words, brat!

[ America laughs again before she also gets into a fierce pitching position, her tongue sticking out in concentration. And then she throws a fast ball, not too bad though. She doesn't want to be too hard on Prussia. ]

[The speed of the ball is not too fast, but Prussia's swing momentum is, and the ball arches sharp a fair distance to the right of the tree, instead of behind it.]
