Summary: Kris is visiting Katina to chill out. Katina gets some misconceptions out of the way.

Hahaha, what a great day for a vacation. A vacation from home. Akiha needed some alone time, clearly. But boy, that was a fast celebration for marriage. Wait a minute...did they even have a celebration? If they did and didn't invite Kris, she was about to actually get mad. Akiha getting married didn't bother her, surprisingly, but leaving her out of the celebration was pretty cold.

It was almost...ALMOST enough to cause Kris to go back and confront Akiha over it.

But that meant she'd have to waste a spell to go back and she might need it later. It was enough to make her forget the idea altogether. Instead, she knocked on Katina's front door. Yes, she got here by teleporting. If anyone thought Kris would actually walk, they'd be in for a surprise.

Katina doesn't think the 'marriage' is anything but shenanigans of the supernatural sort. It's not her business; Gal and Akiha can work it out, and it doesn't really bother her or make her jealous.

She hops her feet at the sound of knocking at the door, opening it quickly to see Kris. "Hellooo? What's up?"

Kris gives a wave despite the fact that Katina is standing right there.

"I'm here to spend the day with you."

Yes, inviting herself over without permission. Kris' usual MO which has left her used to being rejected at the door. But she knew Akiha's close friend Katina would never do thaaaaat. Hopefully.

Right, unnecessary waving. Part of her knows that Kris can be a bit of a pain, but they've gotten along, and it's not like she's busy here, so the only reason to turn her down would be... well, awkwardness.

Katina Tarask isn't awkward. She motions for Kris to come in. "Why? Trying to give the newlyweds some space?"

Kris steps in the door since she was offered.

"That's exactly it. I'm hoping they didn't have a celebration without me though. That's kind of rude."

What's also rude is Kris finding a spot that looks most comfortable and sitting there. Hope that wasn't your spot, Katina.

"I don't think they had much a celebration at all." Not like Katina cares. She leans against a wall instead; she's hosting a guest, so whatever.

Does Kris really believe that they're actually married though?

They didn't? That was weird. Rich people like Akiha back home always held massive celebrations when they got married. Kris would know, she's done tons of pickpocketing during those events.

"Why wouldn't they? Akiha seems like the type to want to have a giant party to show off that she got married."

"Because they aren't married, dumbass." Katina shakes her head, clearly exasperated. "It's just more of the bullshit this place pulls on everyone."

"They aren't married?"

She tilted her head and put a finger to her cheek in thought.

"But Gal said...."

[grandtheftmecha]

"She's the one being affected. Did you even ask Akiha?" Not that Katina did, but she's running on instinct in this situation. It just doesn't seem like an Akiha thing to do.

She flops down next to Kris, leaning away from her. "Just use your head."

Leaning away won't help. Especially because Kris is touchy feely all the time. She leans over so she can lean on Katina.

"Akiha would have told me if it was fake."

Which she did but Kris had selective hearing then.

That's actually perfectly alright with Katina, and she leans back a little closer now. "Or you just weren't listening."

Katina's pretty sure she's got Kris' number down in that regard.

Huff. Kris always paid really close attention to Akiha and she was sure of it. She hoped.

"Of course I was listening. I always listen to someone that's important to me."

[grandtheftmecha]

"You sure?" Katina turns to look at her skeptically. "Getting married out of the blue, no warning, isn't really... an Akiha thing."

Unless Kris knows something that she missed.

"What if she was keeping it a secret?"

It was a legit question.

[grandtheftmecha]

"Without telling either of us, or either of us finding out?" Katina shakes her head. It might be a little arrogant of her to think that way though.

"It could happen..." There had to be a small chance.

[grandtheftmecha]

"Not likely. I mean... I feel like I would've noticed something." If at no other time, than when they were. You know.

Ah right, talking to Kris. About that. Hm.

"You would?" THAT WAS CURIOUS. "When would have you noticed something?"

[grandtheftmecha]

"Uuuh, well." Katina clears her throat pointedly. Blushes slightly. Glances off to the side.

"I know we talked about, you know, some... sex stuff, but I hope you don't mind that I... well, Akiha needed to feed, and I was there, and then we were both really turned on and had sex."

"Really?" Funny that Kris didn't know about that. "Why would I mind?"

[grandtheftmecha]

"Well... sheesh, way to show how different you are from most people." She sighs, relieved that Kris really doesn't seem to give a damn. "You care even more about her than I do, though, so I kinda feel bad about taking her first time."

"So it's something like that..." She snuggled into Kris, probably an even more confusing action.

"First times aren't as special as people make them out to be."

[grandtheftmecha]

The snuggling while talking about sleeping with her girlfriend thing is... awkward? But she's not arguing too hard anyways, and she puts an arm around Kris. "You don't think so, but most people make a big deal out of it, so I'd... kind of rather play on the safe side most of the time."

"What? Were you afraid I was going to kill you?" She said that slyly enough that it just might sound like a threat.

"K-kill me? I just didn't want you to get angry, didn't think you'd go that far." But now she's worried that if she gets Kris mad... she might.
