Party time! [ OPEN ]
Characters: Giselle (
happylittlesong) + anyone else who wants to attend!
Date: Backdated to the afternoon of the 6th (because I faaail)
Summary: Giselle is throwing a tea party. Shenanigans ensue!
Warnings: Potential tomfoolery.
At last! Everything was ready. Giselle surveyed the orchards with a sense of satisfaction. She'd enlisted the help of a few wolves (who had been uneasy about being dragged away from patrolling, but could never resist a Happy Working Song) to drag tables and chairs between the trees, and she'd made some very pretty tablecloths out of her bedsheets. The issue of cups had proved to be a teensy bit of a problem, but -- well, she'd taken care of that.
Still, she was so very nervous! This was her very first party with attendants who were not small, fluffy forest creatures, and she wanted everything to be as perfect as a storybook ending. She smoothed her dress (which, ironically, had been made out of a tablecloth) and took one last look around.
Tables, chairs. A teapot for every table, filled with piping-hot tea, and surrounded by a cup for every setting. Sugar, cream, honey. One table off to the side for refreshments; cake, tiny sandwiches, everything Giselle was aware one was supposed to have at a Tea. The birds had arrived just in time with the food, although she had needed to gently remind them to go back for plates and forks.
"Oh, no," she said, as one of the bunnies tried to sneak some cake, "you know the rules! You must have a plate; it is proper etiquette! We could sing the Good Manners song again, if you would like --"
The bunny quickly and violently shook its head, to Giselle's disappointment. The Good Manners song was one of her very favorites! But perhaps it was just as well, because people would be showing up soon. She put on her very best smile, nearly blinding a few of the nearby birds. It was time to be a good hostess!
Oh, dear, she so hoped they would like her party...
( ooc: Faced with a dearth of teacups, Giselle did indeed make a whole crop of them out of wild stuff. She matched them to the cups she had already, so it's impossible to tell which ones are real, regular teacups, and which ones have a wildcard on them.
The wildcard, incidentally, is music! For any character who drinks out of one of the created cups, anything they try to say will come out in the form of a song, complete with background music that appears to be coming from the air around them. It's only a small wildcard, so it can last as long as you'd like; there are plenty of regular cups, so it doesn't need to affect anyone's character if they don't want it to.
Have fun, and party hard. ♡ )
