Extra Recipe: Bentou Boxing

Kazumi had spent most of the morning preparing for her day with Fionna in one way or another, picking what to wear or getting ingredients for the lunch. She'd also made sure to make extra for Akira, leaving it out on the counter with a note about where she'd gone.

In any case, Kazumi was waiting in front of the Orchard for Fionna, having just picked some fresh fruit to go with what she'd made. Hopefully the girl would arrive soon, since she was pretty excited about going to the Arcade today!

...and kind of hungry.

"We could draw them maybe? I mean, we gotta have a pretty clear picture about what we're doing, right? i think we could manage it though, if we really put our imaginations together! We're both real good, I think!"

[starofpleiades]

"Maybe! I'm not an expert on drawing though, but it might help!" Or just make the photo even weirder. Oh well, it'd be great if she could show Fionna her friends. "We could make albums of our friends at home, maybe!"

[fionna_time]

"Yeah, that's be awesome!" Fionna agreed. "Then you could totally see what Cake looks like!"

[starofpleiades]

"Yeah, I've kind of been wondering what kind of cat she is..." Though looking about, Kazumi's eyes hit the clock. "Oh, geez, I better get started cooking! Hey, did you want to stay for dinner, Fionna?"

[fionna_time]

Fionna had actually never thought about that. Cake was just Cake, and what more did anyone need than that?

"What? Heck yeah man! If you'll have me, that is."

[starofpleiades]

"Awesome! Good thing I stocked up on food yesterday!" Kazumi, please. The pantry had enough to feed a small army.

[fionna_time]

"Nice! I kinda have to do that: been stayin' at Amamiya's a lot, actually," she admitted. "Even before we became girlfriends I was doing that. I cook for her a lot!"

[starofpleiades]

"Hehe, yeah, I think you mentioned that, before she was your girlfriend," said Kazumi, walking over to the kitchen and starting to look around, deciding what to cook. "Any requests for the chef?"

[fionna_time]

Fionna blushed. "Sorry! I'm just...i'm still real happy about it. We hang out a lot, and I just feel real happy when she's around, you know? I'm just really lucky, I guess."

She grinned. "How about you and Akira though?"

[starofpleiades]

"Yeah, it sounds really great. I'm happy for you!" said Kazumi with an honest smile. Her face turned pink at that question though. "Wh-what do you mean?"

[fionna_time]

"Weren't you interested in her? Or did I read that wrong?"

[starofpleiades]

"Ahaha, well, kind of! I mean, I guess I'm still interested but... I think we're probably better as friends, you know?" Even if Akira was totally dreamy and had more swag than Kazumi knew what to do with.

[fionna_time]

Fionna laughed. "I guess if that's how you feel, that's ok too! Not everyone need to get set up with someone! I didn't wanna at first either!"

[starofpleiades]

"That's true. Well, I mean, it's not like I don't want to but... well, I mean, I don't want to but I don't specifically want not to... you know what I mean?" she said, hoping she did. "And Akira's really sweet and charming and handsome but I don't think she sees me that way. Plus the age difference..."

[fionna_time]

Fionna waved her hand away. "Aw come on, if you aren't gonna go after her, don't go for a good reason! Age? That's no big deal. Though I did kinda talk to her. She's sorta playing the field right now, seeing what she likes."

[starofpleiades]

"Ahaha... well, I'm still not really sure what I like either. I don't really want to force anything, I mean! Since I guess it's probably more a crush than anything else." It was all kind of confusing and weird and Kazumi wouldn't mind falling in love with Akira but she wasn't sure she should, and she liked her a lot as a friend and kind of an older-sister figure too. She'd just never met anyone like her before.

[fionna_time]

"Oh! In that case, just take your time! You shouldn't force that kinda stuff, you know? I have a friend who sorta doesn't get that, no matter how many times I tell her. She's nice, but she's tryin' to make some harem I guess, and she's sorta a little pervy. But yeah, if its just a crush, that's all it is."

[starofpleiades]

"Yeah... I figure just seeing where it goes and with what feels right?" She wasn't sure about all this romance stuff anyway, so that seemed the safest. "What's a harem?"

[fionna_time]

Fionna nodded. "Good idea!"

Then she sighed. "Oh, its just when someone has a whole buncha girls they can do intimate stuff with. Kanako REALLY likes girls, even if she has a girlfriend."

[starofpleiades]

"...isn't that like, cheating!?" The idea was kind of shocking to Kazumi, given her knowledge of romance mostly came from storybooks.

[fionna_time]

"If they were a normal couple, yeah," Fionna said dryly. "But Suraga and Kanako both are really into girls, like, super crazy, so they hit on other girls too. I dunno, I guess in their world there are girlfriends, and then there's...having fun."

She blushed REALLY badly.

[starofpleiades]

"I, uh, oh... I see..." Kazumi blushed a bit too. "W-well, as long as they're both okay with it, I guess it's alright?"

[fionna_time]

Fionna shrugged. "I guess. Really, I think the thing is, if you were able to actually get a harem, would you want one?"

[starofpleiades]

"Me? Hmm... I don't really think so. Love is supposed to be something special that you share with only one person, right? Romantic love, I mean." That's what she'd heard, anyway. "Of course, I love all my friends, but that's different!"

[fionna_time]

"Yeah, that's what I'm thinking," Fionna said. "You make friends and they're all awesome, but then you go and meet that one that really just makes you happy everytime you see them. I mean, I guess you could go and fool around with a harem, but is that gonna be anything as special as the person you really like?"
