Tenshi and Kazumi

Characters: Kazumi, Tenshi, and an unspecified number of horrors. Also snow.
Date: During the snow event, 22th and following
Summary: Tenshi and Kazumi are alone and have to deal with it
Warnings: Snow, terrifying monsters, and cuddling.



The only thing in sight was a small hut, in the middle of essentially nowhere. Snow in all directions, as far as the eye could see. Aside the howling wind, there was no noise - there was little that could, at the moment. After all, other than the hut, a few scattered trees, and the snow, nothing else seemed to exist.

Inside the hut were two women, both from Earth, although most likely from different versions thereof. And it was now that they began to awaken...

Tenshi woke up, and pretty much immediately blinked as she noticed what was odd. Kazumi sure liked to hug. How odd...

...The celestial wasn't really used to it, but it could be worse, she thought. Could also be less odd, too. That too.

Nevertheless, she managed to escape the sleeping bag, and got dressed and fixed up for yet another day that promised to be more of the same. Sheesh, what was wrong with the queen. She didn't bother waking Kazumi immediately, she instead wondered how to warm up the food they had saved up. Sadly, spiritual bullets weren't all that warm, so using them was out. She had nothing to make a fire with, either, nor anything to make water boil. How annoying!

"Breakfast's getting cold." She finally announced.

"... fifteen more minutes..." Kazumi mumbled.

"In two more minutes, you're getting meat thrown at you." Tenshi said, not really meaning it. Technically, Kazumi could keep sleeping, after all. It wasn't as if they were waiting for anything specific...

"... dun' do that... it's a waste..." she mumbled in reply.

"Could throw nuts, then. Got enough of those."

"... those'd hurt..." she replied sleepily.

"Yes, I know." Tenshi replied, and sighed. Well, Kazumi wanted to sleep more, so she let her, and instead ate the cold leftovers. Well, edible it was~

After about ten or twenty minutes, she'll stir a bit more awake.

"... good morning... ... is it still snowing?"

At least the monsters stopped clawing at their house...

"The snowstorm's still going." Tenshi replied, looking up at Kazumi, having long finished her meal. "Morning."

She pauses, noticing there wasn't any fresh food...

"The birds didn't bring anything today...?" she asked weakly.

"No, nothing. There are enough leftovers though, so it doesn't matter much."

"Y-yeah, we did have a lot yesterday," Kazumi admitted, before starting to eat.

After a minute, she commented, "... it'd still be nice to have more warm food, though."

"Not my fault I don't have any fire powers."

"Y-yeah..." Kazumi said lamely.

After another pause of eating, she asked, "... um... Tenshi? Can... I ask you something?"

... it's not like they had much to do but talk to each other.

"Uhm, sure?" Tenshi replied, sounding somewhat confused. What could Kazumi ask of her, really?

"W-well, I was just thinking..."

She paused, fidgeting a bit, "T-this place is... w-well, more dangerous than it seemed at first, s-so, I was wondering if I could... uhm... move in with you when the snow ends?"

"Uh, why no-" Tenshi replied absent mindedly.

..."Huh?"

"...Weeell, I should be able to keep youkai and such at bay, if you're worried!"

"T... thank you," Kazumi said in relief, unable to stop herself from attempting to glomp Tenshi, "I definitely feel safer with you around..."

"Uh, huh?"

Tenshi felt as if she had missed something very important during what had just happened.

"Uhm, well, thanks?"

She didn't dodge the glomp or anything, mostly because, hey, someone HAD essentially said a compliment about her abilities and all, which was nice!

"Y-you don't need to thank me... t-that's just how I feel...?" Kazumi said lamely.

"Okay, then." Tenshi said, still somewhat baffled. Well, to be fair, bhava-agra wasn't very good for interpersonal relationships, so her awkwardness had a reason.

"Well, I still can't warm up your food, though."

"That's fine," Kazumi said, "As long as it doesn't go bad, it's okay."

Since it was still cold outside, Kazumi didn't see any reason to release her glomp...

"I think you can stop the hug now, though. It's not that cold."

"... i-it's cold enough...?"

"This wouldn't warm you up long anyway, you know?"
