Tenshi and Kazumi

Characters: Kazumi, Tenshi, and an unspecified number of horrors. Also snow.
Date: During the snow event, 22th and following
Summary: Tenshi and Kazumi are alone and have to deal with it
Warnings: Snow, terrifying monsters, and cuddling.



The only thing in sight was a small hut, in the middle of essentially nowhere. Snow in all directions, as far as the eye could see. Aside the howling wind, there was no noise - there was little that could, at the moment. After all, other than the hut, a few scattered trees, and the snow, nothing else seemed to exist.

Inside the hut were two women, both from Earth, although most likely from different versions thereof. And it was now that they began to awaken...

"I-if it was any of those things, it probably would have knocked a hole in the wall by now..."

"Well, this may have been it trying to figure out if the hut is edible."

Tenshi opened the door. "Let's see..."

"B-be careful..." Kazumi warned.

And there they had it, shadowy horrors, moving right at them.

"What the." Tenshi shouted, and drew a slash through the air just as the figure charged her. Had she been alone, that would have done nothing - not that she knew that.

But she wasn't.

Her weapon "cut" through the figure, and as it did, the creature dissolved as if it had never been there.

"What was that?"

Kazumi let out a little squeak of surprise, though she was relieved that Tenshi was able to take care of it so quickly.

"I-I don't know... it looked like something from one of the RPGs I play..."

Tenshi poked the snow where the thing had been. "You know, this is kinda lame..." she mused.

Just as two more jumped from the roof and latched onto her, dragging her down into the snow.

"T-Tenshi...?!"

Forgetting about the cold, she barged out from the house and...

... if she tried to stab them, she might hit Tenshi. She grabbed both of them, pulling with all of her strength... and somehow managing to pull them off...

Though they both immediately began to turn on her in retaliation

"You stupid shadowy idiots, I'm your target!" Tenshi yelled, raising her hand and blasting one, then quickly a second stream of condensed spiritual bullets at the shadows, blasting them to bits before they could get Kazumi.

"U-uwah...!" Kazumi fell back in surprise, half-expecting the bullets to hit her as well...

... fortunately, she was relatively close to the entrance, so she ended up hitting the floor rather than cold snow.

"Don't worry, I'd not hit someone I don't want to hit!" Tenshi shouted, as she blasted more danmaku in the distance, hitting shadows further away.

"Those must be the things mentioned on the vine!"

"A-ah..."

Kazumi slowly stood up, slowly stepping back outside.

"Y-yeah... ... d-did they hurt you at all...?" she asked worriedly, not sure what they were doing before she'd pulled them off.

"It just felt...weird...good that you got them off quickly! It felt as if they were, like, draining me or something."

"I-I'm glad I could help..." Kazumi said, before asking, "... ... what should we do now?"

"continue fighting, of course!" Tenshi said, happily blasting danmaku all over the place while shadowy horrors crept up. "Tell me when any come from behind, okay?"

"U-uhm... alright... but we should probably get some food while we're out...?" she said weakly, before trying to keep an eye on their surroundings.

"I'm glad you're that willing to wade into danger!" Tenshi said, apparently thinking Kazumi had said the 'food' part as a pretext.

"Huh? W-well, I... I wouldn't want anything bad to happen to you i-if I could help it..." Kazumi replied.

"Don't worry about me, don't worry!" Tenshi boasted, although it was kinda strange to hear someone say that. Normally, what people said was...other stuff.

"W-well, alright... still, we should be careful..."

...Unfortunately, this couldn't happen, as suddenly, birds arrived.

Birds. Carrying a blanket with something on it.

"What...is THAT supposed to be?"

"It's..." Kazumi's eyes widened in recognition... she knew those birds.

"It's room service!"

"But...what...here? Why? What are they doing!?"

"I think they're bringing us food!" Kazumi said happily.

She didn't know why, but really, all she cared about was the fact that she was quite possibly going to get a real meal.

"...I guess that means we won't have to go back hunting berries, huh?" Tenshi said. "Well, they didn't taste too good anyway."

"Y-yeah..." Kazumi paused as the birds fluttered into the building to deposit the small feast, "It... it smells so good..."

She hurried over to find out what had been delivered.

"T-thank you so much," she said appreciatively to the birds.
