Characters: Amamiya Sakurako and anyone who wants to come across her doing something unusual with one of the cats.
Date: At the exact moment that the Sea of Stars begins appearing.
Summary: Sakurako decides to take a peek behind the curtain. And by curtain, I mean into one of the Gardens' cats' minds, via her powers. Takes place in the Orchard, when she thinks nobody is around.
Warnings: None, really.

"Good kitty," Sakurako said quietly as she scratched behind the cat's ear. It purred contentedly. Normally, the cats were practically leaping into her lap, but for whatever reason, this one had been hesitant to come close to her. Perhaps it knew that she intended more that simple cuddling...or maybe it was just being a cat.

"Hold still now. I'm not going to hurt you...I'm just going to have a peek inside."

Her hand glowed, and a glowing wire extended from it, with a connection jack at the end. The wire slid forward until the jack slid effortlessly and harmlessly through the cat's skull.

"Connection established," Sakurako said to herself. She closed her eyes and went diving into the cat's mind, sifting through its memories. It was a simple creature, but it surely had to possess some valuable knowledge, some clue as to where they were and why they were there...

It quickly became apparently to her that it didn't. The cat - whose name she now knew roughly translated to Stalks The Night - had plenty of memories of living in the garden, of fetching scrolls and answering questions, and of doing a variety of normal cat activities, like sunbathing. But nothing else.

"Break connection," she said aloud, sighing with disappointment. The wire and jack vanished, along with the accompanying glow. She wasn't sure what she had been expecting, but she was no closer to solving this Garden's mysteries.

And, by coincidence, at the exact moment that she broke off the connection, the first set of stars began appearing in the sky. Her gaze shot upwards, following the popping sound, and before she knew it the sky was filled with bright lights and cute noises.

"Did I do that?" she wondered aloud, standing up to get a better look. The cat scampered out of her lap and out into the Orchard.

[ooc: your character is welcome to have come along the scene at any point - maybe they saw what she was doing with the cat, maybe not, totally up to you!]
