Poor, poor egg.
Characters: Katina and Akiha
Date: April 6
Summary: Katina and her eggbaby look for the other mommy.
Warnings: Ill-tempered women.
Crying is not the thing Katina expected to be woken up by. If it's not an alarm clock, then it's usually a headache - occasionally another person, but half the time she has a headache when that happens anyways. But crying, oh no, this is not what she expected at this point in her life.
It takes her about ten minutes to wake herself up, find the eggbaby, and realize that holy shit she has to take care of a crying egg with a face. The next ten minutes were spent trying to comfort it, and failing miserably until she realized the obvious - it was crying for another 'mama'. If she was wrong, of course, she'd at least get outside, but childcare? Generally seen as a thing couples do.
Her mood was already dark from frustration when she realized what she was heading towards as the cries lessened. Of course. Grumbling as she stomped up to the door of Akiha's mansion, she slammed her fist against it a few times, already at the point where Akiha could jump out the window in full-on demon AKIHA rage and it wouldn't faze her.

"No, I don't have such a room, but I have a secluded garden behind the mansion. And a routine I do a couple times a week." Thanks to Souka.

"So, hiding out back, huh?" she teased. "It's good that you're keeping yourself in shape, though, even if you have to do it in some kinda secret garden."

She opened the mansion and actually held the door open for Katina. Imagine that.

Don't even point out that she's already talking to the stupid thing.
That little bit of politeness actually gives Katina a moment's pause, looking over at Akiha. "Can't tell if you're actually being nice, or just want to make some kind of point about manners."

"Follow me," she said after dropping the goose off in the kitchen. She lead Katina up to the west wing where her room was, and let her into the girl's anteroom. It was the same as Katina remembered except the fire in the fireplace wasn't quite as big. It was still, to a normal person, a bit too warm in the room.
Remember that bear skin rug? "I swear, if you get anything on my rug, I am going to kill you. So whereas, I tolerate shoes in the mansion, I will not in here." She moved a few things around, gathering up clutter which really wasn't even clutter, but Akiha was a bit of a neat freak.

"Yeah, yeah." Katina looked down at her shoes. "I'll try to take 'em off at the entrance since I'm staying here on a longer basis. Should I just leave my stuff here for now?" She lifted the bag up a little for emphasis.

She then pointed to the entryway to her actual bedroom - no door there - and glared. "That's my bedroom. Stay out of it. Otherwise, you have free reign of the mansion for the time being. I suggest staying out of the basement unless you want to be turned into a toad or something; that's Kris' workshop. But you're welcome to take the chance."
Even Akiha stayed out of there for the most part, save for a few glances just to make sure it wasn't any worse than the things that had been in the real mansion's basement in Misaki. Or Kris wasn't responding to her bellowing.
"The balcony off my room connects both this anteroom and my bedroom. Try not to let the heat from the fireplace out by leaving it open."
You had an idea for something else?
She dropped her bag on the floor by the couch; she could unpack that night. Stay out of the basement... don't let the heat out... nothing that she actually needed to worry about, though she might be stepping outside sometimes with as hot as Akiha has the room. "It's not like we can go too far away from each other for very long anyways. I hope you don't mind me joining you when you work out."

"See to the bird. I'll tend the egg." And that was that, akiha taking the bag and leaving her room, forcing Katina to follow along. It was going to be a long day. Days.

...might have to get in touch with Subaru this time though.
"Yeah, I'll get on that. I think I can manage something good by my own standards, hopefully it isn't too repulsive." Katina wanted to do something productive anyways...
...and then the egg chose the time when Akiha finally took over to start whining. Have fun with that.
