i am a constant satellite of your blazing sun;

Characters: Caprica [personal profile] experiencedlove, Raven [personal profile] variabledge, and Grell [personal profile] esoteric_rose.
Date: Backdated to February 14th.
Summary: February bonding shenanigans. Chronologically, Caprica bonds with Raven first, then Grell. In separate threads in this log for reasons of simplicity.
Warnings: Right now? None. If that changes I'll edit this.

Caprica has been feeling the sensation all morning since she woke — as if there were some invisible thread tugging on her, one end of it wrapped around her heart. It's not that strong at first, and she is able to dismiss it, going about her usual morning routine — showering, getting dressed, making breakfast. She's alone in the lake house; there was a time once when she wasn't, but that feels as if it were very long ago to her, ever since she returned to her world and more than a year passed. She's grown used to fending for herself, even if, at times, the loneliness does leave her aching a little.

It feels especially wrong today that she should be alone, for reasons that don't have anything to do with the holiday — Valentine's Day has a corresponding celebration on the human calendar of her world, so the notion isn't unfamiliar to her, but she hasn't yet realized today is the proper date. Loneliness isn't a feeling that can be reasoned with or rationalized, and she finds herself missing Gaius, missing (for the first time in months) D'Anna, missing so many of the people she'd met here in the Gardens who are now gone. She sits on the balcony with a cup of mint tea, watching the sunlight on the lake and hoping the warmth of the beverage will ease the tense ache in her — but it's not too long before she realizes the aching is more than that, it's a pull, a compulsion, tugging her in a direction and urging her to follow.

Leaving her tea aside suddenly, she stands up, restless and impatient, intending to move back into the house, then out the front door, following to wherever — or whomever — the insistent feeling may lead her. She doesn't question it — right at the moment, it's strong enough that she can't.

[ OOC: They can meet her at the house or she can find them, whichever works. ♥ Info on the house is here if need be. ]
