how are you feeling? [closed]

Characters: Gal and Akiha
Date: Evening, after Akiha returns to the mansion.
Summary: Gal finally finds out what's been going on with her housemates.
Warnings: Possible violence.

Gal has kept secrets, always had a feeling her new "master" had some--doesn't everyone? So she hadn't asked, because Akiha hadn't pried when she'd turned up on the doorstep four years old and very lost. Besides, things were peaceful. She had noticed a slight change in atmosphere when Hisui disappeared, but that was only to be expected, wasn't it?

Except now Kohaku was bedridden and nobody would really explain why, and there is blood on Akiha's clothing. Gal stands in the laundry room, sleeves rolled up, wondering who it belongs to. Certainly not the owner of the blouse she's holding; there are no tears, no sign of injury. Would Akiha really attack one of her servants?

Gal's mouth twists--if as a servant she was prepared to do the opposite, then of course. But why. She's missing too many pieces. But she's not about to sit around and wonder any longer. She heads to her room to retrieve her sword; she doesn't usually wear it around the house, but she'll risk the aggressive gesture because she's not sure what she's about to walk into. She's glad that Kris doesn't seem to be around. The fonist--magician, she corrects herself absently--had her heart in the right place, but she wasn't the most tactful person.

It doesn't take her long to find Akiha, and when she does she shuts the door behind her, bowing slightly. Of course, anyone with decent experience in etiquette can tell when formality isn't entirely sincere. In one hand she holds the bloody shirt, carefully folded. The other is curled into a fist to prevent her from resting it on the hilt of her sword, which would have made her much more comfortable.

"Miss Akiha. I hope I'm not disturbing you, but I had a question."
