"Usually, friends only jump to a conclusion when you do something so often it becomes the norm," she's smiling, though, as if to indicate she really is just kidding.

The mischievous smile doesn't go unnoticed, although it leaves her rather confused because if that sentence had anything mischievous in it, Emilia did not notice. She blinks and tilts her head, frowning a bit as she can't seem to figure it out.

"I-- No. No, of course not. I just can admire a person's... will, I suppose, to go out and... be adventurous. I don't understand it, but, well, give credit where credit is due." A pause. "As long as they're not doing something stupid, that is." Of course, doing something stupid for Emilia is a very extensive list. Maybe if it was someone she didn't like, what Jules had said would be, indeed, stupid, but she is biased.
